As usual in all ibis hotels, comfy, clean and silent room. Kind staff and good location. You could find bar/restaurant at hall, with good prices amd service. Great atmosphere and underground stop just in the corner. I’ll be back for sure

It was great from even before I got there! Prior to arriving, I had written to ask if I could check in early. Chiara responded and explained that I could if the room were ready. I was glad to be able to get to the room after the super-quick check-in. All was great: The room was quiet and comfy, there were loads of breakfast choices, and the location near the train and in cool Shoreditch was the best!

Good check-in, quick elevators, clean, good breakfast. Room was way too warm though, despite being outside 5 degrees. The room couldn't be made any cooler. Breakfast was good, but after 3 days a bit repetitive with no variation.

Was comfortable but had to call down for a fan and although the staff were great and brought one up quickly, would be better if you could adjust the room temperature

We arrived in London after being awake since 4am from Paris, en route home to New Zealand. The accommodation we were supposed to be going to (an apt) was unbeknownst to us cancelled. So ready to blow my stack I googled the nearest IBIS and booked. No dramas, always consistent, stock standard, nice staff, good breakfasts. So thank you! We have used IBIS at Earls Court and Marseille 3 years ago. In future when we come to London for a few days will book IBIS.

Safety Breach

Melanie, it was awful, I was so upset. I arrived and was very surprised at how lovely the room was. However at 2 am in the morning, I am woken by someone attempting to get into my room, and successfully opening my door. I was woken up by a group of 6 people all stood with the door wide open with both parties as shocked as each other. Very shaken by the whole thing, it took me a long time to get back to sleep, worried that it would happen again. I was so angry that the trust in the hotel not to provide access to your room was breached. As a lone female traveller in London, I was totally traumatised. When raising this with your staff, both via the whatsapp number (which I had no response too) and to a member of your reception team, the gravity of how serious it was not appreciated. I talked with Jose and Sara who offered 50% off my bill and explained it was human error that someone issued a key card with the same number. I explained that this offer is not good enough, and they were not taking this seriously. You have totally breached any confidence and trust and I am assuming a policy of yours not to issue cards to occupied rooms. I have since had confirmation that 100% of the charge has been refunded and an offer of 1-night stay at the same hotel, with an explanation that it was human error. This is a slap in the face! - I would never return to the same hotel where this incident occurred. Feedback sent to Flora Falcon today: Whilst I appreciate the swift response and the refund of my nights stay at the Ibis - Shoreditch, I want to express my deep concern that this ‘human error’ was able to happen in the first place. Surely your systems should not allow a key card to be issued to a room that is already occupied. This needs to be escalated as a severe breach of hotel policy and immediate steps to prevent this from happening again across all of your hotels needs to take place. An offer of 1 one night free stay at the same hotel this incident occurred is a slap in the face to how serious you and ‘Ibis’ are treating this incident. I would urge you to rethink this gesture, I do not feel confident at all to return to this particular hotel and believe you need to seek further guidance on how to resolve this situation. The safety and well-being of your guests should be at the forefront of hotel policies, especially in the case of lone travellers. I am still waiting a reply.

.. considering we stayed in centre of London our room was comfy and quiet. The staff were nice and it was clean and tidy. Bit disappointed that you feel it necessary to charge £15 for a gin and tonic though. I know london has its prices, but this is extortion. Either way didn’t dampen my experience.

This was a 4-night stay over the New Year period. The hotel is very well located (I've stayed there many times before), being handy for both traditional tourist attractions like the Tower of London and the less conventional Spitalfields, Shoreditch, and Whitechapel. Access is outstanding because of the convenience for the Tube at Aldgate East and Aldgate. The welcome was fine (althgouh I wish you'd just bring back reception desks - everyone just mills around and hopes that they'll be the next to be spotted by staff :-) The room was quiet and well maintained, apart from some very late servicing of the room over the bank holiday period. Breakfast and evening meal taken in the restaurant are convenient and OK, but have no distinguishing features (surprising, given the opportunities to do something distinctive in this intyeresting location), but aren't good value for money.

Yet another great experience at Ibis London Shoreditch! We’ve been coming here every couple of months for the past two years now and keep coming back.
