The hotel is strictly a budget one, but provides you access to central london and a lot of tourist destinations easily. Has all basics covered. Located close to Aldgate east tube station. Decent western breakfast, but limited warm cooked items in the menu.

we arrived a few hours before check-in, the staff was kind and showed us where we can store our stuff while we went out to the city. the room was small but the mattress was comfortable and it was clean. the heating didn't work so well so we kept it off for our entire stay but the room wasn't cold anyway so it was fine. the only bad thing was the water pressure in the shower: it was almost non-existent. there was hot water but the pressure was terrible so taking a normal shower wasn't very nice. besides that everything was nice.

Management Team, I’m writing to share some feedback regarding my stay this past week (Monday to Friday). I stay at Accor hotels quite often—for example, I recently stayed at an Accor property in Koh Samui which was a 9/10 experience—so I was honestly surprised that my stay here was so far below the brand standard. There were several issues that made the stay frustrating: • Pricing Discrepancy: I called days in advance to request a room with separate beds and was quoted £30 extra. At check-in, I was charged £80. Being charged £50 over the agreed price is unacceptable, and I’d like to request a refund for that difference. • Unusable WiFi: The internet connection was very poor. We were getting speeds of maybe 1.5mbps at best. We constantly had to disconnect and reconnect every five minutes just to get it to work. While the signal was slightly better in room 101, it was plain horrible in room 229 for both my wife and me. This was reported and noted by the reception team. • Shower Issues: In both rooms (101 and 229), the water pressure was incredibly weak. Furthermore, the temperature was impossible to regulate—it was either freezing or scalding hot, with nothing in between. • Towel & Cleaning Service: It was frustrating to be told there were no small towels available in the entire hotel. On Christmas Day, fresh towels were dropped off, but the old, wet ones weren't collected. This left us in a room with smelly, damp towels, which isn't the level of hygiene I expect. • Luggage Storage: While the staff were generally supportive, the checkout process felt weirdly "DIY." Having to tag my own bags and take my own photos for security felt very impersonal for a hotel service. I enjoy being a regular guest with Accor, but this stay really missed the mark. I’d appreciate it if you could look into the overcharge on my room and let me know how you plan to address these service and maintenance issues. Best regards, Fahd E.

Excellent location – bus stop right outside the door and metro station just a few steps away - really couldn’t be more convenient for getting around London. Unfortunately the check-in experience was disappointing. The guy who checked me in (an African guy) seemed completely untrained. He had no knowledge of Accor Gold benefits and showed zero interest in helping in general - pretty bad trait if you're managing reception. The room itself came with a TV and it had Chromecast plugged in - which would have been great to cast… except it didn’t work. There’s no room phone to contact reception, so I had to find an scan the QR code to contact reception. When I explained the issue, the person on the phone insisted there are no Chromecasts in the hotel and basically refused to help. Even after I asked him to check with a colleague, I got no reply whatsoever. Very poor attitude and clearly not suited for a customer-facing role - I suspect it was the same person. On a much brighter note, Arun in the restaurant/bar was outstanding – friendly, attentive and genuinely focused on making guests happy. The room was mostly clean, but the pod-style bathroom is extremely compact and feels more like an aeroplane or sleeper train toilet – very cramped and not particularly practical. I would not return.
