I had an idea what to expect as i have stayed at another Ibis earlier in Stratford. I was pleasantly surprised though here at the Shoreditch hotel however as although the room was the same the "atmosphere or vibe" was so much more relaxed and calming somehow. Firstly the welcome from the 3 young check in staff in there red Ibis tee-shirts was nice. The lobby area and bar is modern, fashionable and relaxed with great lighting. I had a beer there before moving onto the room. The room although smallish was adequate, i like the big tv and style. The beds are so comfortable, i actually missed the soft pillow and sheets when i got back home ! I would not hesitate to go back here and the price per night is reasonable. Also the location is perfect, just outside is the bus stop and tube. and before i finish i have to mention just across from the entrance is a great eating spot, a Korean restaurant which had a great atmosphere and food. Yeh i can see me going back here sometime !

Not happy, little things all went wrong and manager doesn’t really understand what good customer service looks like. It has put me off Ibis as brand who are expensive but not value driven. Check in and check out is clunky even if you do it online, rooms are tired, tv sound poor, shower pressure poor, and the nice touches like water, coffee machine and crisps that some Ibis hotels (like Canning Town) offer were missing. Also did not add Ibis nights properly and took a lot of customer action to sort. Avoid.

A very good value stay in a centrally located area of London. Easy walking distance to Spitalfields, Brick Lane and Shoreditch. Bar open 24hrs on weekends although disappointedly they were short staffed and were not open on the Saturday that we stayed. Room clean and serviced each day and of typical Ibis standard.
