Overall, the location, facilities, and price offer reasonable value, especially if the hotel is booked well in advance. The main advantage is that it is extremely close to the underground station. There is also a Tesco Express right next to the hotel, as well as several other shops, cafés, and restaurants nearby. However, the cleanliness, especially in the bathroom, left a lot to be desired. The toilet seat was visibly dirty, and it seemed that the bathroom had not been cleaned as thoroughly as you would normally expect from a hotel. ( too bad I didn't take pics).

great location beside aldgate east tube station and on one of the hottest days of the year it was lovely and cool both in reception and my room. the staff are all lovely from reception to bar to breakfast but the one slight let down was the breakfast experience. a number of tables had used plates sitting there from earlier guests and nobody seemed to be around to clear up. It also would have been lovely to have some fresh fruit salad with my yoghurt (cooked breakfast not quite as appealing in hot weather) but appreciate that you can't please everyone. it won't stop me coming back but feel the table clearing at breakfast could be improved. (or have a place to put your used dishes)

Too hot, too noisy. I didn't sleep almost, because of the noise. The windows seem to be very thin and there were construction works next to the hotel, which lasted until 2 am in the morning. There was no airco and the room was too hot. The bathroom is very small/not comfortable. Breakfast was ok-ish, but the room was full and very busy; too busy to have a relax breakfast. Finally, when we arrived, the receptionist was not friendly at all; she sighed several times and looked very bored. At the end of our stay she acted better...
