We checked in later at night, after travelling all day, to find only one of the two beds were made up. The staff were reluctant to make up the other bed, saying that we should just share the double bed instead? Room was fine, except had smashed mirror that no one had fixed yet.

On arrival, dissatisfied with the lady on reception. We discovered that we had double booked with the other Ibis in leeds. This was due to a problem with the booking system back in May. It transpired that the other booking had been cancelled but the full payment had been taken. I asked her to check the system but was informed she couldn’t. I asked if she could contact the other hotel to clarify the situation. I was told that I would have to ring them. I asked for the phone number and was told to look on the website. Totally unhelpful which I found to be unacceptable especially as there was no one else in reception. I telephoned the other hotel and the lady was extremely helpful explaining the problem with the booking system back in May, and she immediately confirmed a refund. As a member of the Accor group for many years this is the worst experience I have had 😟

No frills but everything was modern, clean and enough for a short stay. Vending machines and breakfast were available downstairs. Friendly welcome. Nearest parking 5-10 mins walk.

The internet was awful. It was so slow that you could not use it to watch anything, and it even struggled with basic tasks like loading emails. Unacceptable in 2025. Other than that the stay was fine - room a bit cold but heating fan helped a bit.
