As ever a lovely two-day stop-over when travelling North. We used the extra day to explore eastwards along Hadrian's Wall - the mild weather was an extra bonus. The staff were their usual welcoming and helpful selves and we will be back!

Noisy, both outside & inside hotel. Very basic room. A group of us booked as we were doing local half marathon & check out was mid day. Arrived back at hotel after 11am & key cards not working. We were advised by staff cards deactivated at 10am.

Well located, clean bed linen, comfortable enough for my needs. Carpets in corridor and outside lift areas could do with a revamp/replacement as looking stained and a bit grubby. Room has laminate flooring so no problem.
