A group of friends on a Friday night away we chose this hotel as it is close to the station 4 min walk and the same to the centre, check in was quick and simple the staff we had contact with were all very friendly and courteous, we would definitely use again.

Well located and generally comfortable, but unfortunately overshadowed by an unexpected incident. The hotel is in a great location and was a comfortable place to stay overall. However, on the morning of my departure, while I was taking a shower, the metal hatch above the shower fell and bruised my head. I reported the incident to reception, where a staff member took my name and number and assured me that the manager would call me the following day. Unfortunately, I never received any follow-up. Additionally, the water pressure in the sink was poor, some areas of the room could benefit from repainting and general maintenance, the clothes hangers provided were of poor quality, and the placement of towels could be improved, as some were positioned too close to the toilet.

This was our third time staying at the Ibis Carlisle the location is brilliant very central. However on this occasion our room had No heating for the first two day of our 4day trip, although it is April the temperature was high 13 and low 7! Firstly I was told they were waiting on an engineer. Then a member of staff said heat in May not come on due to the previous week it was warmer weather ?! The unit was blowing out Cold air. It was so cold our towels from shower were still wet the next morning. On our third day I enquired about an engineer update and was told he was on site and hopefully fixed soon. Which thankfully by late afternoon on our bird day we had heat. No apology just automatic false script. Room 236 also had thick dust on surfaces and dust dangling from the ceiling. Poor cleaning. Even for Ibis standards.
