I’m grateful to have secured a room for the F1 weekend, but the overall experience was disappointing. I originally booked an upgraded room back in September, and the reservation was confirmed through the Accor platform. The hotel later emailed to advise that upgraded rooms were fully booked and I would be downgraded to a standard room. As a long‑time Accor guest with Diamond status, I’ve never been downgraded before, so this was unexpected. I asked if they could move us back to an upgraded room if a cancellation occurred, but that didn’t eventuate. Unfortunately, the standard room I received was extremely dated and felt closer to a one‑star property. Despite the downgrade, I was charged the same rate as the upgraded room I originally booked. Breakfast was included, though Diamond members receive complimentary breakfast anyway. Staff were friendly and tried their best, but the product itself fell well below Accor standards. My advice: stay here only if absolutely necessary as rooms are hot and stuffy with no AC, the windows can only be cracked and they provide you with a small cheap table fan that does nothing.
