We always stay at the ibis but this time it wasn't the same. The bed was not as comfortable and there was lots of noise at night in the corridor. The room was a bit stuffy too.

Very nice stay, staff friendly and helpful. Disappointed to learn that food is brought in ready made - my choice contained an item I am allergic too, and none could be made without it because it was already made.

The shower was tatty leaked from the pipe and made the floor wet. We tried to order food from the 24/7 menu but we're told it was unavailable as the chef had gone home. I'm not quite sure why you need a chef for a frozen pizza. The staff were generally not overly welcoming or eager to help. The station was otherwise fine but I have had much better stays with Accor.

The hotel can be rather noisey. We also had an issue because our booking states "After a peaceful night's rest, an energising breakfast awaits", however both the lady at the breakfast area and the receptionist said breakfast was not included. If it wasn't included the above quote should state "for an additional charge", to which it clearly does not! The hotel is in the ideal location for visiting our son who is at the Univeristy in Portsmouth. Based on the level of noise the location atttacts, we will only stay here again if the brekfast situation is resolved; making the hotel more reasonable value for the cost of hotel & parking charges.
