The only difference between the ibis budget and the ibis, is the word budget. Both are built for profit, both are small cramped rooms, tv has terrible signal, so most channels are unwatchable, shower temperature is locked to hot, you can't adjust it, so you can't stay in for more than a couple of minutes, add the price of the car park to the hotel stay and it's not value for money.

Room was small for the price, and breakfast was basic. The window was left open before check in during the storm, so when we arrived our floor was soaked. The bathroom was so small that you couldn’t sit on the toilet straight. Overall stay was okay, but I wouldn’t plan to stay again

Stayed one night for the Great South Run. We were unaware that breakfast was not included. We paid for parking outside the hotel quite a distance away. Parking should be available to reserve at booking. The room was incredibly hot despite the windows being open and we were disturbed several times along our corridor by other guests. At 6am all the bedroom lights automatically came on disrupting what little sleep we had. There was a half naked man wandering round the bar so we left as did not feel safe.
