Hotel room found to be very small but functional , bathroom extremly small and hardly usable, very hot during night, opened window for air only to be blasted with music from local pub( not blaming hotel) but adding to a very uncomfortable stay.

We enjoyed a snug stay in a comfortable bedroom in this hotel. The location is superb as it is close to the centre of Portsmouth yet walkable to the coast. Parking is a bonus and the breakfast is excellent with plenty of choice. As we were moving our daughter into university accommodation nearby it was fabulous to be able to check in early and check out late. Thank you Ibis for an enjoyable stay.

This hotel has become the regular overnight stop after return ferries from Caen into Portsmouth. It’s easy to find, it has 24-hour porters to open up the gates when the ferry is delayed and the car parking is secure for our motorbikes. Only downsides are late night noise from Student Union across the road (ask for a room overlooking the car park if this bothers you) and the breakfast isn’t great for £12.

Pros: Comfortable beds, hot showers, lovely food, fish tank in reception, friendly staff, interesting decor, convenient car park, very good location. Cons: The street outside was quite noisy with traffic which we would expect but we didn't expect a terrifically loud nightclub across from our room til early hours.

Quick and easy online booking in. Friendly staff at reception and breakfast. Good breakfast with a good choice of hot and cold food. We were on the fourth floor and didn’t hear anyone. Parking at £12 seems a little steep. Room was on the small size but adequate
