Room 423 door frame looked like attempts had been made to force it open; hole kicked in bathroom door, every cough of the person in the next room sounded like he was in the room with us, Second room offered us also had a connecting door to the coughing man's room. We did not stay even one of the 3 nights booked. Forfeited one night's fee and found a much better hotel where we could actually sleep. Did not expect a Mercure to be this low quality.

The hotel and room was really nice, however the noise of banging double doors to the lobby shook through to the rooms. Smokers outside meant the window had to be closed as smoke wafted in. The food (burger) was over priced and low quality, coleslaw was stale and had a funky taste. I was better off ordering takeaway. Breakfast was very good which was something.

Nice room, maybe a bit warm and no air conditioning, comfortable bed. Good range for Breakfast. Conference facilities were excellent.

Excellent staff. Room was fine, although bathroom was a little tired and requires refurbishment. We had a major issue with the shower as the water was scolding hot and couldn't be changed. Reported the issue at reception and it was resolved pretty quick. It was nice to be able to open a window and let some fresh air in. We didn't have breakfast as we felt the cost per person was far too expensive, so went elsewhere for a third of the price. Overall experience, yes we would stay again.
