I was staying at the hotel with several friends for an RAF reunion and booked direct with the hotel. Firstly I found it strange that booking 2 nights individually was cheaper than booking both nights as a block, the staff had no idea why this was the case. I paid quite a bit more than my friends to upgrade to a Privilege Room but it was a complete waste of money. The room is no bigger than a standard room and was clearly described as having air conditioning but it did not, my stay was at the beginning of September and the nights were chilly so I was cold during the night. My friends had booked standard rooms and had air conditioning. The room was also described as having a complimentary mini bar but it was completely empty. Something I did not see detailed on the website that parking was extra - £12 for 2 nights.
So my advice to others is don't bother paying extra for a Privilege Room.
On the plus side most other aspects of the hotel were okay.

The room was over. All really nice and tidy. Bed was very comfortable minded. There was a strong smelling out in the room and I did find out that there was some dog food under the bed and around the room a bits so was not too happy with that, apart from that it was pretty good

We asked for breakfast bags which they told us about Upon booking because our price included breakfast but we wouldn’t be around for it. The first day they gave us two bags which we ordered with sandwiches, water, fruit, biscuits, and bakery items. Second day was handed one bag with only half a sandwich and one bag of crisps. No water or anything else. Felt annoying since breakfast per adult was supposedly 17.99 each. They just didn’t seemed bothered. It took ages for someone to get our stuff and therefore I couldn’t even ask for the second bag as it made us late.

Pleasent hotel...staff excellent...very poor to have to pay £12 to park my car while staying at the hotel. Breakfast was cold on both mornings despite eating at 7.20 on 2nd day.

Extremely dusty room which was visible and shocking. Toilet seat discoloured which made it unpleasant to use with cheap toilet roll and shower barely drizzled. Awful hotel- definitely not a 4 star. The bathroom fan did not work and nor did the iron.

The room was spoilt by the toilet seat being loose, this not being apparent until after my first night, and not being fixed that day after telling reception. Also later discovered the shower head could not remain in position and kept sliding to the bottom of the post. On departure reminded receptionist of these problems. Other than that the bed was comfortable and overall the hotel was good.

The location was ideal for a party that I was attending in the hotel.
Good parking, excellent breakfast and comfortable bes but not all the rooms have air conditioning. We had a small fan in the wardrobe that did nothing to help with the heat.

Room OK, shower dangerous temperature uncontrollable going from warm to cold to mega hot meaning a very dangerous uncomfatable stressful long shower as you had to move shower head away while running cold & mega hot then try to get showered in the 30 seconds it was at warmish tempature.

It was a lovely room, but it was very loud in the corridor all day. Loads of banging going on the rooms aren’t very time for all really and it was only one massive towel and it was two of us which wasn’t great had to share.

Well located! The hotel is literally just 5 minutes from the train station and about a 10-minute walk from the town centre.
I’d especially like to highlight the staff, who were all incredibly friendly, well-trained, and professional. The room was great, and the swimming pool was a fantastic added bonus. Overall, a very pleasant stay!

I stayed here for 4 nights for a work trip to Telford. It was a comfortable stay, even during the heatwave, thanks to the air con working well. Breakfast was surprisingly very good - plenty of choice and good quality. I would recommend the Mercure Telford Centre Hotel for anyone needing somewhere central to stay when visiting Telford.
