Worn down room.

Checking in I first received a room with a big sticky stain on the floor. I called down to reception I waited 15 minutes for guest service to come up to the room and check the stain. I was not allowed to just go downstair to the reception to get a key for another room. Guest service arrived. Saw the stain and said it was just water. Then touched it with one of his foot to realise it was sticky. Then an explanation that this probably happened during cleaning but that they had another room for me. I moved my luggage to the new room, a few doors away. The room was worn down. The decor felt like I was in the early 80s or 90s. The room layout with a separate toilet room without a sink where to wash your hands didn't feel at all logical to me. The bed was ok. Beddings not so much so. The couch in the room looked - eh - like it was collected from a dumpster. I did not want to sit in it. It ended up being a place for my luggage. Location ok, some of the staff very service minded. Others not so much so. Overall, not likely to stay here again, my worst experience with a Accor hotel.

My experience was average to be honest. The shower curtain was dirty from overuse and the batch itself was tired (taps were basic and in need of upgrade for example) . The television did not have an online/youtube facility which most hotels have these days (even lesser hotel chains like Premier Inn etc) . Basically the hotel room was in need of a makeoever as it was generally "tired". The staff were very friendly and the foyer area and breakfast etc were nice.

The location is brilliant, but the A/C did not work in my room and the bed was hard as a rock.

Very nice hotel. Only big minus was that I was given a room that someone else had already accupied - I then got a new room. Also my key card stopeed working once.

the location is excellent, near to paddington station - so it's very convenient for me to travel from Reading. It's just that the room is too hot, so we have to open the window, but other than that, we are very pleased with our stay in Novotel Paddington.

The rooms were clean, staff were excellent friendly and welcoming. Hotel is located in a good area close to shops and the train station, although access Directly to the hotel is difficult due to the set up the walk is not long.

Overall we love our stay. Some things could be improved such as the selection of breakfast buffet which are the same during our week stay and the inconsistent room make up/cleaning service. The reception is very helpful.

The stay was ok, I have to say I kept ringing the hotel to notify them that it was a special day for us as myd aughter turned 5 at exactly 00.48 past midnight. although, I was told that special arrangements would be made to make my little girl feel special. There was no reference to it what so ever. We have stayed at other hotels in Paddington on 31st December and they always make my girl feel special. Sadly, this did not happen.

The hotel was welcoming. Clean and comfortable.A short walk to Paddington Station. Only downside are there is no air conditioning in the room and towels are worn out. Other than that, it was pleasant stay.
