Positive, nice personal and a good tuna sallad Negative room was to hot air conditioning was most likely not working. You could not open the window and it was a construction project going on outside your window. A bit smelly might be the floor carpet

I enjoyed my eleven nights visit to London. The hotel is in a great location: very quiet and clean and just a few minutes walk from Paddington train and underground station. The Heathrow express brought me straight to the station in just 15 minutes, and the walk, even with my luggage, was not far and very pleasant as the hotel is located in a newly refurbished area. I went to sites all over London as well as visited Oxford and later Stonehenge near Salisbury. I was able to speedily get to these places from the Paddington station, although you do have to ask for routes until you begin to learn them. My room was clean and comfortable, although it could stand a little updating. I presume that is not too far off in the future since the exterior of the building is currently being updated. The staff is very good. My room was well kept. I particularly liked a young woman who worked in the dining room bar area who was very accomodating when I would drop in for an evening snack, usually a caprese salad and a glass of wine. I rate this hotel very highly and only discounted it because of the noise of the exterior renovation and needed improvements to rooms. But overall all, I found these only minor problems and would highly recommend this hotel.

My room appeared to have a bug problem. I ended up with terrible bites that I shared with staff. No concern or follow up after changing my room upon my request. Very disappointed.

I had an enjoyable stay in the Novotel. Food was good and comfortable rooms. I also enjoyed having the pool to myself!

Dusty rooms, bedsheets with dark stains

The standard of cleanliness in the hotel was poor as rooms were dusty and bedrooms were not properly cleaned. Carpets also had nasty stains. Do not recommend for anyone who cares about living in a clean environment.
