The room was OK, not amazing but clean. Shower was part of the room, as well as the sink, with a door to a toilet. The staff in reception were very nice and helpful. Wi-fi was good.

Staff were lovely. Breakfast was poor value for money. Corridors were heavily scented with some sort of air freshener that triggered asthma and allergies. My son found seeds and a fake eyelash in the top bunk of our bedroom. Felt like a hostel, not a budget hotel.

Room was basic but clean. Location was great, less than 10minutes walk to city hall. No road noise but you could hear noise from the corridor or rooms next door - though not loud enough to disturb us. There is an excellent cafe right next door, everything is freshly cooked & very tasty. There's a tesco extra across the road for drinks & snacks - though the hotel also had a fridge with drinks & had some snacks too. The toilet & shower were in separate cubicles that opened straight into the room & the doors didn't go all the way to the top so not much privacy if you were travelling with others. There was a blind for the window but no curtains or carpets which made the room feel quite cold & industrial... but it was absolutely fine for our 2 night stay. Staff were friendly & helpful
