The TV Didn’t work. Lights didn’t work. The WIFI was embarrassing slow and the toilet roof had a hole in it Checked out after 2 hours as a sound of the fire alarm didn’t stop. Stayed elsewhere, waste of money and time

No remote for the TV, the receptionist found a couple of spare remote controls but none of them operated the TV. The heating was cold and there were no instructions in how to operate the digital display in making it hot or cold

No info given about the parking discount cards, ended up paying full price for car park. Fire alarm woke me at 3 in the morning, kept me up for an hour before being fixed. I had work the next day so this affected my work. Had angry resident banging angrily at my door one night complaining about not being able to turn his lights on. Homeless people staying in the lobby every night, asking me for cigarettes and stinking up the lobby. No enforcement of mask wearing. Staff weren't friendly, seemed like they weren't getting paid enough to deal with what they had to, weren't bothered. Room was the smallest I'd ever seen, no room cleaning at all in 4 days. Hotels general overall appearance wasnt up to scratch. When I asked if a refund was possible was told it was up to the manager who wasn't anywhere to be seen. I've worked in hotels for 6 years and stayed in alot of hotels over my life and this was by far the worst I've ever stayed in. Wont be staying in an etap again.

At Etap Belfast, we strive to provide a superior service experience for every customer; therefore your feedback is very important to us. Parking discount tickets are available at reception, when inquiring about parking, the reception team inform our guests of this which gives a £6 discount on nightly rates. Due to COVID-19 and the current government lockdown restrictions, the hotel can only accommodate essential workers and vulnerable groups. Some guests are placed with us during the lockdown by government agencies as temporary emergency accommodations. During these unprecedented and challenging time for our industry, we have been adapting to these changes. With that said, our team is available 24/7 to assist any way we can during a stay to make it as comfortable as possible despite some lockdown restrictions on offerings. Under COVID-19 restrictions, our team is not able to enter guest rooms which is why the rooms are not serviced. We do have signage indicating this at reception, on every floor, and in the welcome info attachment with the the key holders. However, fresh towels and toiletries are available 24/7 at reception as indicated in the welcome sheet. We also offer linen change upon request. I do apologise for the inconvenience of the fire alarm waking you up at night. However, we must fully investigate the source of the alarm to ensure overall guest safety. I was personally covering reception shifts and in the hotel during the dates of your stay and I am saddened that we did not have the chance to speak in person. Once again, please accept my sincerest apologies that your stay did not meet your expectations. However, I do hope you will give us the opportunity to welcome you back in the future. Good price, nice and clean accommodation. Only gripe would be the room was a bit cold at times due to the situation of the fan. Apart from that exactly what I needed.

Overall stay was good. The room was clean but beds were poorly covered there was no mattress protector on the bed and the flat sheet o. The mattress wouldn’t stay in. I’d recommended being own bed covers as the top bunk was also badly covered.

I was in Belfast for two days (working) and needed a central hotel for one night. I was unsure of check-in time, but knew i’d be leaving very early the next morning. I wanted a good shower, a comfortable bed, and a clean space to rest in. ETAP fitted perfectly.

When we arrived we were given a room that the card wouldn't work when placed in the holder. So we had to switch rooms when we had already unpacked. There were no cups in the room or even basic toiletries which I was expecting. There was also no handle on the toilet door and the hole in the shower area allowed water to leak onto floor. The bed and everything else were fine.

Myself and 3 friends booked a double room each. We planned to stay for 4 nights over a long weekend city break. We chose the hotel because it seemed to offer good value for its price. When we arrived in our rooms we found them to be dirty with stains everywhere. No temperature control and our rooms were not cleaned/freshened up daily. The fact there were no room phones, provided toiletries or ironing facilities didn’t bother us too much, but the amount of noise really did. To dampen the noise from the nightclub next door, the windows have to be closed, unfortunately this is the only way to cool the room so we had to decide if we’d prefer to be too hot or surrounded by noise. The clientele of the hotel were also extremely noisy, having to listen to their room parties and smell their cigarette smoke through the paper thin walls was not a present experience. After 2 of the 4 nights we’d booked, my friends and I decided we could not stay another night, let alone 2 more! We checked out early, explained the situation to the receptionist who explained we were unable to get any form of refund for the 2 nights we were not going to be there as we’d payed in advance. We moved to a nearby hotel which was much nicer (and quieter) and was a similar price to the etap. We should have just stayed there in the first place. My advice to anyone considering the etap would be to stay somewhere else if possible. If this is not possible, don’t pay in advance, or if you do, pay for each night with a separate booking. I really wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a restful night.

Really enjoyed our quiet room on the 6th floor. Staff very welcoming and efficient as always. The only slightly disappointing thing was that the hand sanitizer in reception was meant to be motion sensitive and only let out a tiny, tiny drop - not enough, but we had our own with us x Everything else was great.

We took a budget trip to Belfast to watch the rugby & this hotel fitted the bill. The rooms are a little tired, but for a few mates on a weekend away it was ideal. There is a nightclub next door, but we didn't hear a thing.

Horrible staff, so lazy they spend all their time sitting in office while guests wait. Had no bowls at breakfast, took 20 minutes as they washed up bowls for overpriced continental breakfast, do not take cash but not stated in website, totally overpriced for what you get, do yourself a favour and stay anywhere else!

Really pleased with location of the hotel. 5 minute walk from bus station. Ideal. Central to Belfast centre. Good price for hotel. Rooms basic but fine. Shower was lovely. Breakfast continental but lots of choice. Great stay.
