Room satisfactory. Good to have toilet seperate from main bathroom but not very hygienic due to lack of handwashing facilities in toilet. Room could do with brighter lighting as very dark even with lights on and curtains open. Bathroom could do with more space/shelving for storage of toiletries. Food from the restaurant was nice but menu is quite limited. We used the bar between 5pm and 7pm during our stay and some of the staff were misreable and unwelcoming.

There was a friendly welcome by reception where we were able to drop off our luggage and get advice on how to get to Edinburgh Zoo. We were offered use of the facilities if we arrived back before our check in. We had dinner at the hotel. The waiting staff were polite, helpful and friendly to our children. We enjoyed using the pool and leisure facilities, which were clean and helped create a relaxing break. The room was pleasant and breakfast the next morning had lots of choice and was enjoyable.
