Unlike most other countries, Indonesia has very little variance in its temperature year round. The warm waters that account for the vast majority of Indonesia's area mean that it is always warm here, with the coast around 28 degrees, inland at around 26 degrees and high mountain areas only 23 degrees. The main difference is the rain. It tends to rain in Indonesia between November and March, with the dry season running from April to October.
For weather the best time to come is during the dry season of April to October, but you will find wonderful things to do no matter when you visit. If you are in Indonesia in August you will be able to observe and join in one of the biggest celebrations of the year, Independence Day, on the 17th. If you come in February you can witness the famous Pasola Festival with its long and interesting history. There is so much to do in this amazing country that anytime is a great time to visit.
The official currency used here is the Indonesian Rupiah, with $1 roughly equaling 15 Rupiah. As for languages, Indonesia only recognizes one national language, Indonesian, but in reality there are an estimated 700 languages spoken in this country. Javanese, for example, is natively spoken by 98 million people, while Sundanese boasts around 42 million native speakers here. There are other languages spoken by a few million people, with hundreds more spoken by fewer and fewer numbers. Some people do speak English, but only very few. However, in all of the big cities and hubs you will find that English is spoken by a larger number of people, and those that do will be more than happy to help translate, especially in your hotel and places that tourists frequent.

The most popular tourist destination in the country for good reason, people flock to Bali for the lovely people, stunning beaches, and incredible waters.
