Location and facility for family was great. But.... We expect more from 5 stars hotel in Nusa Dua Bali. We stayed as a family of 3 with one children age 2 years old on 28 November - 1 December 2022. During check in, we were asked to wait till 3 o clock, they promised to whatsapp/call us when it were ready. But until the designated time, they forget to tell us. Which makes us to come again to the receptionist to ask. The breakfast was OK. The staff handling during breakfast was rude, especially to us- the locals. They didnt bother to ask us to seat and didnt even clean up our plates, they only serve the foreign tourist (thats make us very disappointed). Then, there were lots of mosquitoes even though it was still at breakfast time at 7 in the morning which made me and my child bitten by 5-7 mosquitoes. We ordered room service food(RAMEN) Which tastes poor. The soup was dry though it has so much ingredients that didnt fit in the bowl. The small thing that make us unimpressed is the coffee that they give us is instant cheap coffee, which was a disappointment when we compared it to the 4 star hotel that we stay before, they gave us coffee with nesspresso machine. The good thing was the cleaning room service gave us extra water and clean our room perfectly.

Hi I’m Sweeta, this morning i’m having so much fun trying my first time boxing in this beautiful gym of Sofitel hotel Nusa Dua Bali. During my gym time, I’m so grateful to meet such a nice person and kind hearted trainer, his name is Bli Bagus. He teach me boxing very nice and full of . He made everyone in the gym feels comfortable and safe. If you need anything, Bli Bagus and other trainer there are always ready to help you anytime. Thank you Sofitel and Bli Bagus for showing me this amazing experience that i will never forget in my life. 🤍 Love, Sweeta

“Home away from home” was literally what my partner said, as we pulled up at the entrance! We loved our first stay, at Sofitel and were hoping it could live up to it again and it really did! The arrival wasn’t as organised as las time, back then we were asked, if we were checking in and our name looked up, before we were escorted to the Millésime club for check in, not so this time. It took a moment, to find a member if arrival staff, who would take care of our luggage but luckily we know our way to the Millésime club. From the moment, the doors were opened for us at the club, EVERYTHING was smooth sailing, nothing was too much to ask, the team at the entire hotel were like last time, absolutely amazing, I mean everybody from gardener to butler, EVERYBODY! And that is just one of the things we love by this hotel. The complex was as stunning, well kept and maintained as last we were there, lush mature garden and beautiful pool with loads of areas for kids or adults wishing more privacy. We had requested the same villa, we stayed in at our last visit which was met, something we appreciate and another thing, making us come back again and again. The villa has had a very slight makeover, since our last visit, not much to do as it’s a general nice place to stay, yet the 2 doublet doors from bedroom to pool and living room to pool, were still not fixed which I’m surprised about, this resulted in me crushing my finger, between the wall and the door, as the gliding and stopping system after 3 years, has not been fixed. It’s only now nearly 3 weeks after, the swelling and extreme sensitivity has started to calm down, silly injury to mark once holiday when it so easily could have been repaired since our last stay and especially as it wouldn’t cost mush. The villa itself is lovely, white marble, nice size living room, perfect bedroom, stunning bathroom with Japanese toilet, unfortunately the lovely Hermes bathroom products Sofitel as a chain was so loved for around the world has now been replaced with “no brand” refill products, I assume as a part of their no plastic policy, which we are all for, good on Sofitel and loved the light hearted, fun yet informative info film running in your tv. But maybe Sofitel and Hermes, could work out a solution that means guests in the suits and villas do not need to use brand less products and that no plastic was involved? Anyway, as I first thought it was a simple mistake, I callled up guest services, who kindly informed me about the change and they managed to supply our villa with Hermes products after all, most appreciated. And what’s nearly unusual on Bali, the towels were WHITE, not a given on this island, how ever many stars you book, but also this was not an issue at Sofitel! Not sure why coffee capsules, are now being charged for, guest services explained that you get a set of 8, and these are not being re-placed however long your stay is, nor how many in the villa might drink coffee, unless ordered via room service, odd… either way the price is the same as in Europe so we requested to buy some, which then at check out were not charged for. When I asked my partner why he wanted to stay at Sofitel again, the answer was short and honest “because of the service and the food”. And boy… neither here had anything changed, the breakfast buffet is out of this world! It’s huge, I mean we have stayed at many hotels over the years, but this is next level and by far the best, what a pleasure what a joy! Also the selection offered at the Millésime club was very nice too, yet they this time struggled to keep up, guest were more often then not having to ask for more and then wait around for it. 6 spring rolls or 12 cakes simply isn’t enough fur a room with maybe 60 adults. I got up every morning at 6.30 am and went for walks along the beach, very popular amongst Nusa dua guests and great way to see things before it gets too hot. I on the last morning rented a bike, but unfortunately the promenade is at points along the bay crumbled away under storms more then a year ago, in areas not connected to hotels, but mainly controlled by local store holders, (would have thought the government had fixed this for G20, but nope and totally cut off by hotel St Regis, who have done their part to prevent people from enjoying the bay and promenade but hey, great service of Sofitel to have the bikes and it was great fun! We tried out the pool bar, the drinks here were substantially stronger the at the Millésime club, good fun and highly recommended! We had dinner at the restaurant on beach one evening, as the hotel was far from fully booked we had more or less the place to us alone and it was nice, highly recommended eating under the stars! As we were there the week before G20 started, there were G20 parties at most beach hotels every evening and the place was full of police, military and bodyguards, military helicopters at times in the air and warships in the bay, fun to see all the work behind the scene. We like the team and the hotel a lot and we can’t wait to return in the future! Yes people have different needs, views and experiences but our last holiday was at a €5.500 a night hotel danieli, Venice signature suite and let me say, the attention to detail shown by the staff at Sofitel Nusa Dua, the following up, the kindness and the willingness to be there for the guests, ensuring the guests enjoy their stay should be a benchmark for Marriott even if they have sold the danieli to four seasons group! And as the hotel was selected to house the French delegation, under the G20 meeting including president Macron, I have no doubt its another mark of approval and can only highly recommend staying at Sofitel Nusa Dua! Congratulations to Mr. Pasdeloup, you should be very proud of what you have! “Home away from home”, it’s big words, hard to live up to but you did it Sofitel Nusa Dua! See you soon!

Birthday & Anniversary Stay at SOFITEL

We stayed for 3nights recently during November. This would be our first trip back to beautiful Bali since NOV 2019. We are regular travelers to Bali, but this would be our first stay at the SOFITEL. When we first arrived, we were very impressed with the grandeur of the lobby. One of the most impressive lobbies we've been in. We very much enjoyed the use of Club Millésime and also the use of our pool access room. Overall, we had an enjoyable stay, and would certainly consider coming back to stay here again when we are in Bali. Service was faultless, all the staff we met were extremely helpful and top marks to room service, who serviced our rooms daily while we were out eating breakfast, and always provided all the bottled water we needed. We never got to see them once, but they are the invisible heroes, the backbone of any good hotel. No place is perfect, but the shortcomings didn't deter us from enjoying our stay. Mosquito control could be better, liquid soap instead of hand soap should be a consideration since it is both less wasteful and also better for hygiene. Better quality toilet paper would also be nice, since the ones they have here are very thin. The buffet selection was one of the largest we've ever seen, but food quality was average, so maybe quality over quantity might be a better consideration. We would rather have fewer stations that were great, rather than many stations that are just average. Of 2 of the nights, during our stay, we were woken up by some rowdy guests in the wee hours of the morning, maybe 3am to 5am, walking around, laughing and talking really loudly, probably returning from some late night partying elsewhere. But thankfully, they didn't linger around and it was all quiet again after 15mins. We didn't quite enjoy the main adult pool very much, the water was very murky, probably due to the wet weather, so we only swam there once and preferred the pool nearer to the bar and the pool access outside our room, which we enjoyed very much. We very much appreciated the room decoration, and the cake they provided for our double birthday and anniversary celebration. It was a pleasant surprise to see that in the room when we return to our room from dinner. Thank you Sofitel for having us, we had an enjoyable stay, albeit a short one, and we can say for sure that we would consider coming back again in future!
