Facilities were nice. However would have liked more information on daily recreational activities and more information on how kids club and club millesme works. No one told us on arrival and I had to walk around to ask about what recreational activities are offered.

Amazing experience - We were happy that we went ahead to book the room with the private plunge pool - as we did not find the public pool space to be the most comfortable to spend large amounts of time. However with the private pool we really enjoyed ourselves. The room service was amazing, the in house nurse etc. was great. Some things that would have improved our experience: 1. Internet TV so we could log into our own streaming services 2. Desserts were always melted when ordered to room 3. Larger variety of mocktail options

When we checked in nobody explained how things worked in the resort, also no map of the resort was given. All staff was very friendly but knew next to nothing of what was on offer. Most satt did hardly understand english and spoke it badly. The standar room we stayed in 5 208, was aged and too old fashioned. Quality of food was OK, but much too expensive for a Balinese hotel. WE woud hav egotten better value if we would have stayed in New Zealand or in Australia. Looks like there is an inerior management present. Th eresort would need to improve a lot to qualify for 4 or 5 stars. Currently we believe ist is only 3 stars.

We had a really lovely stay with you celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. When we arrived into the room there was a platter of hand made chocolate wishing us a happy anniversary which was such a lovely gesture and much appreciated. The room was clean and tidy although there were no pool towels on the terrace so we had to locate the towel area in the main pool to obtain towels. These towels were not replaced by staff which would have been nice. We had to get clean pool towels. There were no long life milk pods in the room. We ended up buying a small milk to have in our tea/coffee. We loved the experience of Club Millesime. It was truly delightful. The high tea was sensational and having a tranquil place to sit and read or talk quietly was really lovely. We definitely did not enjoy having the POOL TABLE in the Club. It was noisy and distracting in the environment. Unfortunately, there were children under 12 with their parents at the pool table, creating quite a racket near our table on one occasion. The children were particularly rude to your staff. It definitely ruined the ambience of the Club and I think you should remove it. The staff in the Club were respectful, helpful, and very friendly. I could not fault their service in any way. The food was sensational and beautifully presented and in generous portions. We appreciated the opportunity to experience the Club.

I stayed approximately two weeks at this resort over the New Year break - in the process trying almost everything the hotel had to offer. The hotel has a lot of amazing facilities - a great pool bar, amazing rooms, and a large dining area. This, together with my Accor Platinum membership, were the reasons I selected this resort. Unfortunately, while the facilities were great, I cannot understand how this hotel has such a high rating on Tripadvisor. It falls substantially short of what I have come to expect from the Sofitel brand. I am unlikely to return. The food is very inconsistent - they have tried to be all things to all people and in so doing, with such a wide food selection they become very inconsistent and quality loses out. Bread rolls so stale they had become hard were served. If you come early to breakfast you could well experience (as I did) that they had simply pre-prepared the meals and reheated them to serve early in the morning - it tasted terrible. Staff in the buffet area were more concerned with appearing to be busy than actually getting anything done - frequently getting in the way of guests to merely shuffle food at the buffet around. Smoking was permitted anywhere in the resort, and not only permitted, but staff would give ashtrays to those who wanted to smoke at the pool bar, irrespective of children being nearby, or the well known risks associated with smoking. While this might be acceptable in Bali more broadly, frankly, a five star hotel looking at accomodating its guests (the majority of whom do not smoke) should at least consider its guests (and their health) and reduce the areas in which guests are permitted to, and provided with ashtrays to, smoke. The services available at the spa are expensive and, even with discounts offered, were about the same price as we would pay in Australia. I emailed the hotel seeking to use a suite night upgrade available through my Accor membership during my stay. The hotel did not see fit to respond until a week later, and even then, did not accomodate the request, notwithstanding that they had a suite available during the stay. I never received any explanation for why the hotel failed to respond to an email for a week. I have previously had superior food, service and value at a 3* hotel in Kuta. I'm happy to pay the premium for a 5* Sofitel experience however this hotel is simply not offering a premium. There seems to be limited quality control.

Frustrating on every level, from breakfast to getting a pool side lounger, longe on the beach. Shortage of staff with limited understanding of language, poor restaurant service and quality of food for the price. very long waiting times for food orders placed. New year eve celebrations was unacceptable not catering for the customers you attract e.g Families, unless you wanted to purchase a pool bed and Swim,No seating at all! duff duff music more like Kuta Ta venue What were you thinking ?? We resorted to sitting on the Beach and watched every other hotel Fireworks with half of your Customers over the age of 30 years with otherFamilies. You need to look at getting you breakfast coffe to people under 30 mins. Food ordered at restaurants within a 15 minute time frame not 40 mins Towels on every sun lounger from 8am at the pool areas & beach to be removed like the Padma rules. Front pool bar seating and sun beds reserved ? every day for special customers !!! &outside hotels CONRAD ??? had reserved b8 day beds for 40 people on th 6th January leaving no seating. What about catering for you paying customers who are staying in your hotel.that might bring a few back

Everything was great We booked 2 tours through hotel, one was Ubud cycle which was great but the second cultural tour wasnt the best experience, very expenxive and not very good guide, expect that sofitel introduce the best tours. Otherwise everything was great at the hotel.

Its the first time i didn’ t get upgraded room since become a gold accor member. But everything is great here, pool are great, beach is ok, gardens are great. Dinner even better 40$ for 2 using accor member is a must. Kids love staying here, the twin bed both queen, easily for 5 people stay in a room.

First of all, the breakfast is very good. Especially the croissant and the asian corner where they served beehoon soup or fried kwe tiaw. The pools are very nice , the beach is just okay as the type of the beach in nusa dua ia without wave. It is also very nice that in the hotel area, there is a manarai beach club.

We had an enjoyable family holiday at Sofitel Nusa Dua - we most enjoyed the pool (great size and layout), beachfront location and the location in general being far from the hustle and bustle of Kuta and Seminyak, but not too remote either. We also enjoyed the well equiped gym. The experience at the spa was mainly positive but may I suggest to having a couple of massage beds with a cutout hole for women who are pregnant. My wife who was pregnant had to lay on her side for her massage. Far from a comfortable experience. Service staff throughout the restaurants Kwee Zen & Toya, poolside, housekeeping staff were efficient and friendly - with one glaring exception I will highlight further below. Breakfast buffet at Kwee Zen was one of the better buffet breakfast we have had. The variety was sufficient that we did not get bored even after 7 mornings. Dinner buffet was satisfactory - surprisingly the Indian cuisine at the buffet was a surprising standout. We had room 5303 and it was starting to show its age (e.g. some light switches did not work). The room size whilst fair cannot compare to the newer 5 star resort standards (>50sqm). Room amenities were acceptable, however it was really disappointing that a coffee machine was provided but not coffee pods. Also it seems strange that we had to ask for hair conditioner where this is fairly standard part of room amenities, even in 3 star hotels. On a positive note - the room was well serviced and clean, well insulated from neighbour and outside noise. Now on to some shockingly poor experience, which sadly meant we will not be considering this resort in our future travels: - I cannot understand why children under 4 are required to pay for entry to the kids club, however it is free for children 4 and above?! I understand this fee includes supervision by staff but the fee applies even though the child is accompanied by a parent. How is this fair for children with separation anxiety - especially prevalent with kids age between 1-3? Furthermore, should both parent accompany the child, the second parent is required to pay an entry fee. - Service at the beach was lacking. Towel station at the beach were often self service or manned by street vendors selling water sports. On the afternoon on 29/12/2019, I decided to have a drink at the beach. I pressed the call buzzer 4 times (in a space of 20 minutes) before an attendant finally arrived to place my order. Once ordered I waited a further 20 minutes but my order never arrived and I left disappointed by this experience. - At checkout we found many of our F&B charges did not include the 20% discount (as part of our Scoopon package). This was acknowledge and rectified by the receptionist, however he had to call every single restaurant where we dined before applying the discount. As a result of this lengthy process, checkout took over 10 minutes to complete. It also meant I completely missed my breakfast on departure as we had a plane to catch. On slightly related matter - our check in receptionist explained that the 20% discount included all F&B excluding alcohol, only to be told at check out that this did not include the kids menu. - For a 5 star resort, this resort lacked complimentary activities. Complimentary non-motorised water sports have generally been included in many resorts we have stayed in the past. - I experienced food poisoning after the dinner buffet on 25/12/2019. This made an unpleasant experience over the next two days.

The staff were so kind, we were so well looked after. They made sure we had everything we needed. Although there was a slight language barrier with our English and their Indonesian, they were amazing at looking after us and serving us. Beautiful Resort, Delicious Food, Amazing People. Would definitely go back. 10/10.
