I'm very impressed by the social distancing measure applied by the SBNS. We got up graded to 1 bed room pool villa so we could keep physical distancing with other guess. Although there's quite a number of guess during breakfast, there's no crowd at their public facility. A big appreciation for Mr. Roy Bigwanto who assisted us to extend our stay due to one day lockdown that implemented by the local authority.

I’d like to express my sincere gratitude to all hotel staffs of Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua. I am a local resident working as medical doctor specializing in Internal Medicine. The main purpose of my stay at your hotel was to maintain access to internet during the Holy Nyepi Day. I was called by The Ministry of Education and The Ministry of Health to deliver a lecture about the pandemic coronavirus disease. I was really worried that the suspension of internet services in Bali during the Nyepi Day would hinder me from streaming live videos. Hence, I contacted one of your representatives via the call center and he ensured me that the internet would still be operational on the Sacred Day of Silence. Upon arrival at the hotel, Stephanie at the reception was very helpful. She went the extra mile to contact the IT department to make sure that there wouldn’t be any trouble with the internet connection. The hotel room was also superb. The sanitaries were immaculate. Everything in the room was spotless. We even managed to establish a makeshift studio for the video stream using the couch and the exotic background. I also appreciate the measures you took to prevent the global pandemic from spreading among the guests. The decision to deliver ala carte menu instead of buffet was very thoughtful. By doing so, you can effectively prevent human to human transmission of the disease via respiratory droplets. The omission of buffet dining also helped to get rid of long and crowded queues, which would infect a lot of people. The restaurant staffs were also very considerate. I noticed some of the waiter/waitresses, such as Titi and Hugo always make sure that our appetite got fulfilled. However, I strongly suggest you to improve the turnaround time at the restaurant. I understand that during the Nyepi Day you have a very heavy shortage of staffs. I waited for almost one and a half hour to get my meals served. It was not the hunger nor the patience wearing thin that I worried about. By staying that long in a public area such as the restaurant, the odds of catching COVID-19 is exponentially multiplied. While other institutions implement draconian measures to suppress the spread of this deadly pandemic, at least your hotel could empower the guests to minimize the time being exposed in public areas. The very long wait time before lunch was served was very frightening for us. Although I’m not a culinary expert, I do realize that some of the menu could be pre-made before. You don’t need 50 minutes to make a bowl of salad from scratch, do you? Previously, we were also quite disappointed that some of our orders in breakfast did not come. After waiting for quiet a long time, we left the restaurant before the food come as we didn’t want to take our chances getting infected. I urge you need to consider removing some tables or putting X marks to prevent people from occupying them, in order to create enough space between people dining in the restaurant. I tried to keep myself away from other guests, usually by asking to be seated at the open space outside of the restaurant. The blazing sunlight would prevent others to sit nearby, at least that’s what I thought. However, people came and took adjacent tables. Some of them were of foreign region that was categorized as the affected pandemic country for the coronavirus. Since the wash basins were located on the other end of the restaurant, at least you could provide hand sanitizers to be used properly before entering the restaurant. The dinner service was better, actually, that the wait-time was faster. Thus, turnaround time improved. However, since we were not allowed to sit outside during the Nyepi Day, we had to dine in the inner part of the restaurant. I noticed some crowded spots on the center of the restaurant. On the other hand, the farther side near the bar was quite empty. I sat there and enjoyed my dinner. You really need to implement the rules of physical distancing (previously known as social distancing) in the hotel, especially in the public areas. You could distribute the guests evenly to keep sufficient distance between each other. It is an irony that after I delivered my lecture to over 16.000 people about how we could cope with COVID-19, my current accomodation couldn’t even follow the basic rules to fight this pandemic. Overall, my stay was awesome and I am looking forward to stay in Sofitel Hotels after this battle againts the global burden of COVID-19 ends. I hope that you could take part in the fight by implementing what I have suggested. Apologies for any inconvenience caused by my opinion in this letter Thank you, Best regards,

Clean room, facilities are nice however our dining experience were not great. At lunch time We received main and soup soon as we ordered but after we asked staff for salads and deserts which haven’t served waited over 1hr nobody apologies or told us what’s going on... at the next day staff told us to pay food which we didn’t ordered dinner. The restaurant was unorganised and staff communication was poor. We do understand the consequences in the situations however this experience made us feel very uncomfortable and not great time during our stay at hotel

We had a very good stay, despite the stressful escalation of the COVID 19 pandemic. Our room was fantastic, loved the pool access. The resort is beautiful, very clean, great staff and a good selection of restaurants.

Sofitel Nusa Dua was one of the best hotels I've stayed in. Your staff is so nice and was so accomodating to my needs during the Corona Virus situation. The hotel is impeccable and you so well maintained, not even a leaf on the pool goes unseen. I can only imagine the work that goes into maintaining all your pools and gardens in such a perfect state. I especially loved the beach club, the menu was incredible. The highlight of Sofitel is the STAFF, I cannot highlight this enough. The concierges helped me with all my canceled flights, your reservations manager helped me moved my Sofitel reservation so I could go home earlier, Anda from Guest Experience was AMAZING, I cannot say enough. I travel so much around the world and I was impressed, my mother had the best time as well and we cannot wait to come back when everything gets back to normal. THANK YOU SOFITEL!

Good experience, but I was shocked that none of your employees were wearing masks etc... considering that EU was closing its border, Indonesia announced they would followed closely (on the next friday) and that french embassy were asking every body to stay in self containment in a hotel. It's actually the sole hotel that did not take any measures (SoSofitel bkk from Accor implemented stringent measures) I am sorry but I had filled a complaint

We stayed on SOFITEL Nusa Dua for the 3rd time just in March as the Corona Virus started gripping the world. We love this hotel and we love how warm and lovely the staff are. The Balinese are such warm, wonderful people and the staff at SOFITEL are this and more. Well trained and always so nice to guests. We were lucky to enjoy the lounge experience as well which we thoroughly enjoyed and couldn’t ask for anything more from the staff. We can’t wait to take our next trip back.

We went on a mum’s vacation where the goal was to relax. Sofitel Nusa Dua was the perfect place for this. The best part of our stay was our access to Club Millesum. Both Anas and Ary went above and beyond to make our stay that extra special and are the reason I will return to this resort.

My wife and I found the staff at Sofitel Nusa Dua very friendly and helpful from the time we stepped out of our cab to the time we left. Everyone greeted us with a smile and made sure we felt special and welcomed. Unfortunately we stayed while the Corona virus was in all the news and the number of guests were very reduced. It was obvious when I spoke to the staff (and the rest of the Bali community), they were concerned for their employment and income during this stressful time. However, at no time did this stop them doing an excellent job to ensure everything we needed was provided. The food in every area was of the best standard and the variety was outstanding. We were disappointed there was no buffet at night, but given the low number of guests, to have put a buffet on would have been very wasteful and the alternative met our requirements. We would definitely stay there again if we return to Bali.

Stayed with 2 young kids, room layout was spacious and ensured good night sleep for all. We had an incident on premise, our boy (4yrs old) slipped at the pool due to the tiles being wet and extremely slippery. He required 3 stitches under his chin. The Sofitel staff certainly knew about the incident - ooh you were the boy that fell was mentioned several times. However, there was no official follow up from the hotel at all. Not to check if our boy was ok, no chocolates to help ease the pain - nothing at all. Very disappointed in that part of the experience and would have thought a resort with such service levels this would have been handles much better. I would also recommend to replace those tiles, I struggled to keep my footing as well! Overall it seemed somewhat difficult to get traction with the staff, ranging from getting a replacement cocktail at the Mandarin Beach Bar from as the item we selected was not available. There was no customer is king approach rather we had to hear about how it couldn't be done as it would have caused difficulties with the books. I am not here to discuss your accounting issues. Breakfast buffet great and enjoyed the variety. Dinner buffet was lacking, understand the requirements for cost savings, but the a la carte selection was no more than a tasting plate and is not an adequate replacement for the buffet dinner.

My wife and I had been to Bali previously, but the Sofitel Nusa Dua was our best. We had 10 fun filled days just sitting around the pool, walking and experiencing the great hospitality your resort offered. Thank you to all your staff, who always had a smile and a helping hand where required.
