I wanted to share some feedback regarding our recent stay, as unfortunately it did not meet the expectations we had. On the evening of 26 July, at around 9:00 PM, we reported that the air conditioning in the bedroom was not working properly. The engineering team attended promptly and worked on it until around 10:15 PM, after which we were informed that the issue had been fixed. During this time, the Duty Manager also visited our room, apologized for the inconvenience and kindly offered dinner as a gesture of goodwill. We also discussed the possibility of a late check-out until 6:00 PM, which I understood would likely be accommodated. Unfortunately, despite the engineering team’s efforts, the bedroom air conditioning was still not working properly. The only noticeable difference was that the living room doors had been left open so that the cooler air from the living room could flow into the bedroom. Before going to bed, I sent a message to let the team know that the issue was still not resolved. Later that night, I noticed a message advising that another room could be arranged around midnight, but by then we had already settled in for the night. The following morning, while getting ready, we also found that the bathroom lights were not working. We contacted Engineering again, and after checking the issue, the engineer advised that he would need additional tools and that it would take some time to repair. As we were leaving shortly for our scheduled tour, we requested that both the bathroom lighting and the air conditioning be attended to while we were out. We returned to the hotel at around 4:30 PM and spent some time in the lounge for afternoon tea. Considering that we had experienced two maintenance issues during our stay, I honestly expected someone to proactively approach us with an update once we were back. Instead, no one contacted us, and after afternoon tea I had to stop by the Front Desk myself to ask whether everything had been fixed. I was then told that the air conditioning had been fixed and that another room had been kept on standby should I still find the issue unresolved. I replied that if it had genuinely been fixed, I did not see the need to move rooms on our final night. During the conversation, I also mentioned the bathroom lighting issue. I was quite surprised when it was suggested that perhaps we were not operating the lights correctly. This was disappointing because both Housekeeping and Engineering had already confirmed there was an actual fault, and the engineer had explained earlier that he needed additional tools to repair it. It gave me the impression that the team did not have a complete understanding of what had happened. As a gesture of goodwill, I was also offered complimentary airport transportation, which I appreciated. When we returned to the room after dinner , I also noticed that a bottle of champagne with two glasses had been placed in the room. While I appreciated the thoughtful gesture, I was left a little confused as no one had mentioned it to us or explained whether it was related to the inconvenience we had experienced. More importantly, when I checked the bedroom, I realised the air conditioning still had not been properly resolved. This was probably the most disappointing part of the experience. If the team had simply told us that the air conditioning could not be fully repaired and recommended that we move to another room, we would have happily done so, even though it would have been inconvenient on our final night. Instead, we were advised that it had been fixed, and based on that information we decided not to move. It was only after returning to the room that we realised the problem still remained. I completely understand that unexpected maintenance issues can happen in any hotel. My disappointment is not that the issues occurred, but rather how they were communicated and managed. Overall I don’t think it was value for money considering the issues.

First trip in Bali and Stayed at Sofitel Dusa Dua for special occassions (wedding anniversary and birthday) - Everything was beautiful and resort facilities presentations was fantastic. Has a family friendly vibe, The amazing buffet breakfast dining at Kwee Zeen especially the pastries and local indonesian cultural food was delicious. Last two nights received a complimentary upgrade to a lagoon pool access room, which made our our wedding anniversary celebration more memoriable. It was luxury all round and the staff service was outstanding
