Yes, this hotel is located very close to the beach and a range of restaurants and shops, but it's true highlight is the quality of the staff. Their genuine friendliness and ability to seamlessly complete their job(s) whilst conversing with the clients in such a free-and-easy way. The rooms were extremely well appointed and as clean as any I've ever stayed in.

The pool is freezing cold, you can barely get in. The ceiling in our bathroom was leaking severely. They fixed it initially, but within 24hrs it was leaking again and worse than earlier. Staff are slow and impersonal. Zero platinum status recognition during my stay. Breakfast selection was poor and not replenished. Checking out was terrible. 3 staff on counters to help but after waiting 15mins without any recognition, I left my keys on the desk and just walked out. We have stayed here many times before, and this was by far the worst experience at the Grand Mercure. Very average.

This hotel is relatively new. Great location staff so friendly and can’t do enough for you .. right near beach and lots of shops and popular restaurants. Great pool and an extra kids pool . Will stay again
