i had wonderful stay in Novotel Semarang. COncierge Team were very excellent and helpful. I got bad time while waiting in front desk (check in). NOvotel should improve their varian of breakfast and also the taste. strategic place so i could use my limited time for sight-seeing . Sleeping experience also was GOOD, Novotel gave us nice and comfy bed. Only the lighting and bathtub made the ambience a little bit spooky.

Good location, plenty of food outlet nearby. Room is well furnish but housekeeping is not up to expectation. The management of the hotel use going green as excuse and do not change the bedsheets and towels daily. I feel that such standard of service is not acceptable. Other hotels which charge much lower room rate do change the towels when cleaning the room. Aircon in the room also not powerful enough to keep the room cool during daytime.

However, our guests are remain allowed to change their towels even daily based on their request to our housekeeper or unhang it from the towel rack. Afterwards, I have shared the comment concerning the air conditioner which is was not in optimal performance to our concern department for an urgent repair to better serve the quality of our facilities to our guest. Room was spacious but looks empty with only a small sofa beside the window. Seems like furniture setting was modified recently as a thick layer of dust with odd shap was visible in a corner of the room.

First stayed here in 2012 and was very pleased. Still pleased, but it is time for a renovation and the hotel is doing it now. Staff is excellent and very helpful. I had a toothache and front desk sent me to a pharmacy about 100 meters away. Helped arrange for car and driver at reasonable cost. I had asked for taxi very early in the AM for early flight and it was done and waiting for me. Room was comfortable and quiet. Food was good and all was reasonable.

Bad experience in check in process

It took so long to wait for check-in process, one guy front office handled us and ask us to wait due to room is not ready yet and still being cleaned, I need to wait more than 30 min, while we waited there are several guest also having bad experience while check-in, and then I was handled again by another front office a lady, and she said ..she will check the room then another waiting again. I thought the room was already cleaned up and ready for us. Seem the lady try to find another room available. Finally after around one hour we got the room. The hotel location is strategic, fitness facility is very good.
