I would like to share some feedback regarding our check-in experience. We are Accor Gold members and understand that early check-in is a benefit, but we were completely fine with following the official 14:00 check-in time. We arrived at 12:00, provided our ID, and arranged the shuttle service to and from JIS. However, we noticed that several guests who arrived after us received their rooms before 14:00. We would have appreciated the same priority, especially as Accor members who had arrived earlier. At 14:00, we were asked to go through the registration process again before receiving our room key. Later that evening, the hotel contacted us via WhatsApp to request our KTP. This made us wonder whether the identification we provided at 12:00 had been properly processed. Unfortunately, the return shuttle from JIS after the concert did not arrive. We eventually had to walk from JIS to the hotel together with other guests. We understand that operational issues can happen, but we hope the hotel can improve the coordination of the check-in and shuttle services to provide a smoother experience for guests.

The stay started well, but the promised non-smoking floor turned out to be the main issue. The room we stayed in was filled with cigarette smoke, whether it was recent or not. I believe that harsh warnings and fines should be clearly communicated to previous customers, as stated in the rules that the room is non-smoking. Then that should balance the cost of cleaning the smells if that is the problem. Despite these warnings, the smell persisted. The receptionist did offer to give us a new room, but unfortunately, it was on the smoking floor. We declined that option. She also suggested ozone treatment, which should have been done before we entered the room. However, it was late at night, and we couldn’t afford to wait any longer, so we declined that as well. Overall, the experience was okay with everything else, but this is a recurring problem at Ibis Sunter. We’ve encountered a family room that reeked of cigarette smoke as well. It seems that customers often do smoke in the rooms (smoking or non smoking floors as well), and the cleaning team doesn’t seem to be doing a good job of removing the smell. I hope this issue is addressed by the management.

Dear Bapak Joseph C., Warmest Greetings from ibis Styles Jakarta Sunter! Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience at the ibis Styles Jakarta Sunter. I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow me to express my sincerest apologies. We will follow up your review about the room filled with cigarette smoke. Angga R. W. Business - Confirmed reviews ALL

I stayed at your hotel during a business trip, and my room was upgraded to a Family Room with a smoking option. I had no issue with the upgrade. However, I was very disappointed by the condition of the pillowcases in the room. They were gray and looked unsuitable for use. I asked for them to be replaced, but the replacement pillowcases were in the same condition. The following day, I became ill. Please pay more attention to cleanliness and hygiene. I choose Accor Group because of the comfort and quality it is known for, not because I expect to receive an unhygienic leftover room simply because the hotel is fully booked. Thank you.
