Shower drain was clogged (and stayed clogged after contacting maintenance ), towels smell bad, food did not match the given preferences, food (especially fruits) was often obviously not fresh and sometimes smelt bad

Beautiful Room, No Info on Quarantine Process, Lack of Communication, Bad Quarantine Food, Expensive Room Service

No instructions given upon arrival. I did not know what to expect, what the process was going to be. No answers provided in timely fashion (had to ask multiple people multiple times just to find out how the quarantine procedure worked). Information flow was poor. Quarantine food was poor quality. Meals were heavy in carbohydrate, low in protein. Taste was only so-so. Meals always arrived cold. Only beverages provided were 3 x 600ml bottles of mineral water per day (which you had to use to make your own coffee/tea from provided sachets). All supplemental drinks were charged at room service rates, which are expensive. Room service food is available if you are unhappy with your quarantine meal, but again, you have to pay expensive room service prices. The hotel keeps your passport until you check out. I was not happy about not being in control of my travel identification. On the good side: The room was very comfortable, beautiful, and clean. Awesome shower.

I stayed at Grand Mercure due to quarantine from government of Indonesia requested. During my stayed, I had bad experiences as follow : 1. Time for delivery breakfast to my room should be around 7am to 9am; however the breakfast came at 9:30am . I need to call front desk to remain my breakfast 2. Time for lunch around 11am to 1pm instead the lunch came to my room at 3:45pm 3. Time for dinner around 6pm to 8pm instead the dinner came around 9:45pm Being quarantine was not easy . I depended on my 3 meals daily . I was starving and waiting for my meals come on time . Beside being late delivery, I found the food was cold. There was one time where all my plates was outside my room for two days because no one comes to collect dirty plates . I know many guests are quarantine at the same hotel and the kitchen need to provide so many food to delivery to all quarantine guests. My suggestion for all guests quarantine , the hotel can make breakfast, lunch and dinner boxes and put in the sealed plastic bag . The hotel stuff can deliver all food easily and leave the food outside the room on top of either small table or chair instead the hotel delivery to each room with fancy plates . It’s more time consuming . Other than that the hotel was good except food and delivery service are bad

I stayed in Gran Mercure starting on 24/05 to 29/05 Front desk Special thanks to Mr Pohan, Front desk Manager for arranging all documents since we are onboard Costa Serena, for making check-in process smoothly without any issues. All rooms was set and we are satisfied for cleanliness and comfort. F&B DEPARTMENT Food quality and food presentation was very good, however in the first night there was some issues for delivery time. I believe with support from All TEAM the issues has been handled without any problem. On the next day all operation was smooth. Thank you for F&B department TEAM and Thank you CHEF for preparing the meal. HOUSEKEEPING Room was cleaned on daily basis, and Housekeeping team were very friendly and polite. They're also precise and fast during cleaning process. Thank you for your Hospitality shown to our Costa SERENA Crew members during our stay in Gran Mercure Hotel

Very nice ambience at the lobby and modern room interior. Very Good service. Very near to Jiexpo kemayoran but a bit far from shopping area, 15 minutes to the nearest shopping center by taxi. Comply with covid protocol. Friendly staff.

It's new, clean but with very little "atmosphere". It's quite a long way from the center of town and there's nothing to do close by. I only stayed as it was close to where I was having my meetings. Let's just say it won't be my first choice next time. Don't get me wrong, functionally it's o.k. but the service leaves a lot to be desired e.g. waited some time to check in as there was only 1 person on the front desk, waited in excess of an hour for a meal in the lounge which was a disaster when it arrived and it was only a chicken burger. The quality of the food isn't so good either e.g. some of the buffet dishes had been left out since lunchtime, others just topped up and the cheese had definitely been left out for a while. As for the drinks, most of the alcohol on the menu wasn't available. Finally watch the final bill. My booking said "nothing to pay at the hotel" but I was charged when I checked out.

I stayed at the Grand Mercure for three nights in mid-February 2020 on a business trip. The hotel itself is gorgeous and clean. However, there isn't much around it - the nearby commercial center is focused on electronics and auto parts, and there are no food places within easy walking distance. Travellers hoping to move around Jakarta using bus or tram lines will also be disappointed. However, taxis are easy to get hold of, and Grab is relatively ubiquitous in Jakarta. Despite these criticisms, the hotel provided an excellent stay and I would definitely stay here again on future visits to Kemayoran.
