Being a property of Accor group, I booked the Mercure kuta bali hotel for 5 nights but our experience was just okay. Payment issue: At the check-in my card was swapped for IDR 5200000 instead of IDR 4800000(booking amount) saying that during the checkout the amount will be refunded. At the checkout my total bill was something around IDR 5000000, but the remaining amount has not yet been refunded to my card yet( after 2 days). Language issue: Being a 4 star hotel we expect their staff to know atleast basic english. However, they had a lot of trainees working for them who did not know any english. We had a tough time asking for some extra bottles of water at night. Ambience and location: The hotel is located right at the beach at the center of kuta. The location is one the best with many nighclubs, restaurants, shopping area in the vicinity. The ambience is nice and has a tropical look. However, in some places the hotel needs a bit of maintenance/renovation. Amenities: The hotel is equipped with all the needed amenities. Food: The breakfast spread was good and has a lot of varieties. The items served were freshly prepared and did taste good. For dinner they have a limited menu but the service was good and the food was tasty. Other: The infinity pool is really nice, well maintained and gives spectacular view. The view from the 4th floor deck is superb. The restaurant also provides great view of the indian ocean.

SSRAZALI Families - TripAdvisor review

If you are looking for crowds and nightlife, then Kuta beach is the right place for you and Mercure hotel is the ideal place to stay for you. Just cross the street, you are already at the legendary Kuta beach. From sunrise to sunset as if life never stops around this hotel area. This hotel is recommended because of its location, cost and adequate facilities such as a swimming pool on the 4th floor with an amazing view towards the Kuta beach. This hotel is perfect for families as well as for couples. The Architecture that blends with nature, many openings connected to the outdoor provide a comfortable stay. Not forget to mention about a friendly and helpful Staffs. Many thanks to Ms. Mira who is very helpful with my room reservation, also Ms. Dewi in the frontdesk and other staffs who have make our 3 days holiday in Bali perfect! Matur Suksma 🙏

No deposit back- No feedback at all Hi there,My name is Yen, I booked 2 nights at your hotel via booking. com, and when I checked out, the staff did do an action to charge me back my deposit, however, since I left the hotel on 14th June, the refund hasn't gone through. I sent messages several times on booking. com, but no response at all. I doubt it's the worst service ever. My booking confirmation is: Confirmation number2523.932.842what the service!! I hope this email could help me out! At the same time, I try to post every where in your social media as Instagram and facebook, hope this will make you see I'm desperate here. p.s: I worked with Accor standards but did not know that Accor service could be that bad at Mercure Kuta Bali !!!!thanks,Yen

Terrible service and rude staff

N2583LNandreab Friends getaway - TripAdvisor review

When we arrived we got shown to our room, told what time breakfast was and then they left. The staff did not tell us where the pool or restaurant was and did not attempt any conversation with us at all. The room we were staying in had a small balcony overlooking a wall and the air con fans, the bathroom smelt of sewage and the fridge was not cold. The room was also very dark with little natural light, even with the curtains open we needed the lights on during the day to see! We asked if we could change and were told it would be an extra £200 to upgrade despite us already paying for the duration of the 5 days we were staying there. The staff were also rude and did not seem to want to help. The pool is lovely but when we went to watch the sunset with a drink we were told they sold no alcohol, only Bintang. This is advertised as a sunset bar but they only sell one drink?! Throughout our stay not once did the staff welcome us or even acknowledge us as we when we were leaving the hotel. There was two of us staying here and I came back early but forgot to get the key, I asked reception to let me in and she rolled her eyes like it was a hassle. When we were checking out the lady behind reception tried to argue with us that we were checking out a day later, we weren't! We tried to explain that our flight was that evening but she was adamant we were leaving early, she kept saying 'no it's okay you have another hotel'. Overall this is worst service I have ever experienced in Asia, as Asian service is usually very friendly and they could not do more to help you, this is not the case here. Rude staff, who talk about you in their local language, poor pool bar and average rooms.

Horrible Nightmare

We went to Mercure for a stay of 3 nights bt the moment we entered the realisation downed on us that its not going to be an easy stay. First the reception staff had no idea of our package and we had to show it to them to get appropriate reservation package with benefits. Ok, that is not a big deal, we thought, and moved on to our room once the formalities were done. The room..an old, wornout place which was horribly designed, extremely dirty and felt unhygienic... the wall paint was damage on many places while the AC duct was super dirty. Bathroom was ok bt i couldn't understand the logic of a steel door behind the sink which wud slide open into the room towards the bed side??!! The doors of bathroom were made of wood which never closed properly. The curtains were dirty and the TV channels, 80% were not working. We quickly decided to cut short our stay to just one night and left the next day. It caused use money to book a higher priced hotel, unnecessary mental stress, and huge inconvenience. The only good thing, their welcome drink was good. Overall its an ill maintained property. If u r desperate and dont have any where to stay, still dont stay here cos desperation is better than a nightmare.
