As a Gold member, I've got a room upgrade to a bigger room with tub. Room is great, spacious, well equipped, view to pool is not blocked, bed is also great. But I think the room need a refreshment. Furnitures looks outdated and poorly maintained, especially the bathroom. Shower was wiggling, tile grout was already blackened. Water was also a bit smelly. AC was not normal cold. Fridge was not cold either. Not to a standard for those who brought kid and need to store some foods, snacks, and milk. Breakfast had great varieties. But couldn't say it matched the grand mercure standard. Bread was hard and I can tell the butter served was not a good quality. Their indonesian menu was good. By the end of the day, I only appreciate the spacious room and good bed to sleep, but nothing more than that. I expect more from a Grand Mercure kind of hotel.

Kdixvi Friends getaway - TripAdvisor review

I was coming from Mercure in Bandung 4* and had higher expectations of this hotel, as 5* but they were not met. The hotel is in clear need of refrubrishment, and more attention needs to be put to humidity in the rooms and cleaning. This said, the service provided by all hotel members was outstanding, and super available to help any time. The breakfast was good. The location is good for the malls, a bit far from city centre, but still easy to get to and from by Grab. The swimming pool opening times were a bit strict 6 to 18, but it was clean and tidy, just needs more sun beds as we had to leave our towels in the floor couple of times due to only have 4 sun beds. The bar downstairs needs also refubrishment and more live, as it has a lot of potential but it looked like an old empty bar, decoration could be better. Overall I enjoyed my stay, and I will 100% recommend, but there is a lot of potential to be ustilised and more being a 5* hotel.

Mis-communication, mis-leading info & unprofessional assistant front office manager!

Its my big mistake choose to stay in this so call 5 star hotel during my recent trip to Yogyakarta after the pandemic. Multiple issues was encountered during check in as mis-leading was provided by unprofessional assistant manager regarding the member benefits. The so call executive suite upgrade promised by GM was not the case and only a relatively poor maintain executive room with broken curtain which cannot be open or close smoothly. The room change was offered by the AEM after i raised my dissatisfaction, but the 2nd room also encountered aircon not working properly issue and at the end i need to move to another room. Check in at 12pm and by 6pm i'm still moving the room. As per the AEM, this executive room are the hotel second highest category room, but with all these issues i encountered i cannot imagines how poor it will be for those lower category room. In accor website still listed this hotel provide the executive lounge benefit, but was told by the AEM that the lounge has closed since pandemic and still not re-open due to pandemic still not over! what a big joke here?? I'll lodge an official complaint to Accor group on this mis-leading info advertised in the website since the AEM told me that the hotel has inform Accor group but has not been taken away in the website.

Being in close proximity to a well-known hospital can be a significant advantage, especially for travelers who may require medical attention or have loved ones in the hospital. Furthermore, the unique feature of sharing facilities with the sister hotel, Ibis, added convenience to our stay. Since we travel with our chauffeur, he could stay nearby which is excellent. What truly stood out during our stay was the remarkable hospitality provided by the hotel staff. They were attentive, friendly, and always ready to assist, making us feel right at home. From check-in to travelling recommendations and room service, the staff's dedication to ensuring a pleasant experience was evident throughout our stay. To the exceptional staff of the Grand Mercure Hotel in Jogjakarta, Iwan, your impeccable service at the concierge desk made our stay even more enjoyable. Your friendly demeanor and helpful recommendations truly set the tone for our visit. Gawang, your attentiveness as an F&B waiter added a special touch to our dining experiences. Your dedication to ensuring our meals were not only delicious but also served with care was much appreciated. Wahyu, your work as an engineer did not go unnoticed. Your prompt response to any issues we encountered, particularly with the safe, deposit box issue, demonstrated your commitment to guest comfort. Zimy, as the Duty Manager, you exemplify leadership and a commitment to ensuring a smooth and pleasant stay for all guests. Your professionalism and problem-solving skills did not go unnoticed. And to Ms. Puput, your warm welcome at the front desk made a lasting impression. Your efficiency and friendliness set the perfect tone for our stay, making us feel valued and appreciated. Collectively, you've made our visit to the Grand Mercure Hotel memorable, and we are grateful for your dedication to providing exceptional hospitality. Your hard work and commitment have truly elevated our stay. Regrettably, there were some issues that need attention. In particular, the water pressure in some areas of the hotel was inconsistent, which could be frustrating when trying to take a shower or use the sink. Furthermore, the hot water supply was unreliable in certain parts of the property. This inconsistency in water temperature made it challenging to have a comfortable shower or bath. Despite these concerns, I would still recommend the Grand Mercure Hotel in Jogjakarta for its fantastic location, outstanding staff, and the convenience of sharing facilities with the neighboring Ibis hotel. With some improvements in the water pressure and hot water consistency, this hotel has the potential to offer an even more exceptional experience for its guests. To the wonderful employees of the Grand Mercure Hotel's restaurant, My family and I would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for the delightful surprise birthday cake that you presented during our recent visit. It was a gesture that filled our hearts with joy and made the occasion truly special. Your thoughtfulness and attention to detail did not go unnoticed.
