This is my 3rd times stay at Novotel Balikpapan for quarantine before mobilization to offshore. The staffs were excellent and took care from my arrival to check-out. The hotel had done internal re-arrangement layout (not so good view) but good service on top of that. I hope Novotel can do better lay-out and more artistically.

Not comfortable as the air conditioning was not cold despite the technician repaired it. Its very troublesome to keep calling the receptionist repeatedly as it takes away to peace and privacy, not to mentioned call are sometime goes unattended probably due to understaffed. The service were also very substandard this time as I see new faces and probably need more training Disappointing from all accor m.'s view. I addition, I am having problem to get prompt response from all accor membership office on updates of my account. Hope someone who is reading will be in touch soon to rectify.

I stayed in the hotel for 10 days and can I just the service was excellent, the very tasty and very well presented, which in these strange COVID is a credit to the hotel staff and their manager team. From ordering my food on the app to the guys on the floors doing the face to face (all be it behind the safety mask) you could tell there was a smile there. Great stay would love to visit the hotel and area again when it is a more free and easy time to enjoy the friendly hotels atmosphere. Great job keep it up. Terima kasih

Overall it was good experience. I have spent ~30 nights in this hotel. One thing for development, when i try to call receptionist, i took a long time to answer. And also room service respond also quite took long time as well. Beside that, everything is very good. Thanks !

The hotel is old and run down and smells of dampness. The service was very bad to the point that to get breakfast (if you can call it breakfast) everything is cold and basically you have to find somebody from the kitchen if you want eggs. Interestingly the hotel ran out of eggs I mean how is it possible for a hotel to have no eggs at breakfast. My room had a musky damp smell with the wall paper peeling of the walls. The ceiling was brown from years of water ingress and humidity the kitchen is a joke with a microwave and camping style cooker however to use the microwave you first have to move the cooker and both share the same electrical socket which was basically an extension cable. Water constantly drips from the hole in the ceiling next to the kitchen sink. All things considered this is the worst Nova Hotel I have ever experienced. Not Recommended

Pros: 1. Free Airport Pick Up/Drop to airport 2. Free welcome dinner (even the staff didnt give the voucher at first, i have to ask for the benefit) 3. Friendly staff 4. 6pm late check out Cons: 1. No upgrade room at all even to same type room with a greater view due to full occupancy ( when i checked in, there are still some higher room type available in the apps, but the staff said it was not updated yet in the apps) 2. Old property especially for the bath up 3. Only bath towel in the bathroom, hand towel isnt available and no separate shower. This looks to be the best accor hotels in Balikpapan and the location is great but i cant find reasons to to stay beyond 1 night though

I stay here many times and I know the service from year to year since 2018. Due to the pandemic, I saw the service bit low than before even still in good service. With more guests, I believe the service should able become better than this time.

Just realized this hotel is used for covid isolation, so 1 night was enough and moved to other hotel. I got information after I paid for my stay. I dont think I will stay here again till the isolation is over, even I am GOLD member of ALL

Excellent service. Great ecological awareness (instead of plastic bottles, you get a refillable glass flask to use with water coolers in the hallway). I'd give it 5 stars if it had more consistent wifi.

Efficient, Professional service. Rooms were clean and with sufficient supplies. Breakfast was the only meal I had whilst I stayed at the hotel, enjoyed the wide variety of spread offered. Being a Accor Platinum member was always acknowledged.
