Back then whenever I came to Balikpapan, I often stayed in Novotel due to its hospitality and comfort. But this time was kinda a bad experience. No one helped me to carry my baggages, the receptionist seemed confused, there were insects around the fruits and salad bar, most of the employees seemed unprofessional because whenever I asked for something they replied with “Sebentar saya tanyakan ke senior saya” and never came back with answers. Thank you

Just realized this hotel is used for covid isolation, so 1 night was enough and moved to other hotel. I got information after I paid for my stay. I dont think I will stay here again till the isolation is over, even I am GOLD member of ALL

with the limitation since some of the guest are smoking inside the room, overall experience was a good stay. some staff try to give their best effort to make the best experience. some of the intern however need to give more confidence while having their role in connection with guest.

Hi Novotel, I stayed from 18th-22nd March 2021. For the room, it was very clean (very good), the AC was cool (very good), the internet had been improved (last time I stay 5th-15 March 2021) internet was very slow, high latency, thus affect live meeting comms. Things I hope you guys improve is the water heater in room 437. I complained 3 times, 3 times also technician work on that, but the water was only slight warm-cold, not as hot as other room / standard hotel room. I asked for swap the room but the staff insist to keep sending technician to fix it. Eventually, the hot water had not been fixed normally. I lost my trust, in the other city, I like Novotel like Surabaya and other. But this time, I felt like they don't address the problem properly. What they did is just try to fire fight temporarily, but did not solve the root cause or problem. I hope you guys improve.

Overall 4 days is good enough but Food and Room Service is Bad, lift button no lights, specialy for 7th floor button, pools no water, lobby so dark and under construction.

Excellent service. Great ecological awareness (instead of plastic bottles, you get a refillable glass flask to use with water coolers in the hallway). I'd give it 5 stars if it had more consistent wifi.

Efficient, Professional service. Rooms were clean and with sufficient supplies. Breakfast was the only meal I had whilst I stayed at the hotel, enjoyed the wide variety of spread offered. Being a Accor Platinum member was always acknowledged.

Let's cut the chase. You won't find any better hotel than Novotel in Balikpapan (especially if you're staying at Deluxe or better room). The breakfast is splendid, the staff are courtesy from front desk to room cleaner, the room is maintained clean, and quiet.
