I stayed for 5 nights to celebrate our anniversary. Before our arrival, I was informed that the hotel via email would provide an anniversary greeting card and a slice of cake. Unfortunately, neither was ever delivered. What disappointed me the most was not the missing amenities themselves, but the lack of communication. I even followed up by email during my stay, yet I never received any response. If the hotel was unable to provide the promised anniversary amenities, it would have been much better to inform us honestly from the beginning instead of leaving us waiting throughout our stay. Small gestures matter, especially when they are promised in advance. Sadly, this experience left us feeling disappointed.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at Grand Mercure Solo Baru. I was pleasantly surprised to receive A. generous complimentary upgrade from the entry-level room to A. Junior Suite as an ALL Platinum member. Thank you so much to the team for this thoughtful recognition it truly made my stay even more enjoyable. The Junior Suite was spacious, bright, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. The overall ambiance of the hotel was warm and relaxing. I'd also like to express my sincere thanks to the team for preparing the complimentary birthday cake. It was A. lovely surprise and A. thoughtful gesture that made our celebration even more special. Breakfast was also very enjoyable, with A. good variety of food and delicious flavors. Unfortunately, I had to check out earlier than planned due to an unexpected business matter in Jakarta, so I couldn't fully enjoy all of the hotel's facilities. Hopefully, I'll have the opportunity to return and stay longer next time. One small suggestion for improvement: the official Accor website still mentions that the hotel has an Executive Lounge. During my stay, I learned that there is currently no Executive Lounge available, so updating this information on the website would help avoid confusion for future guests. Additionally, since Platinum members may expect lounge access based on the website information, it would be wonderful if the hotel could consider offering A. small alternative benefit whenever the Executive Lounge is unavailable.
