I have stayed here many times before and usually love coming here but this time was different I am not sure if they have changed management? When getting to the room I was hoping to shower after a long day of travelling however no towels were present. I let the persin who brought my bags know and he said he would get them sent. After 1hr they never came I rang reception who struggled to understand english and eventually managed to get 2 towels. In the whole time of being there they never provided hand towels and numerous days I had to request bath towels after the room was cleaned. In addition to this, as we went to get in bed the first night we discovered the bed to be full of stains, in fact the room I am not certain was cleaned before our arrival. I rang to request the bed be changed at around 22:30 at night, a cleaner came to do this but seemed frustrated. I also requested maintenance as on entry to the room, where the keycard sits was fully hanging off with cables exposed. The DB board was falling off the wall, the door would not shut without being forced closed and the bathroom drains smelled horrendous. The maintenance guy did his best at that time however, seemed to be working live on cables and not telling us he was about to put us into darkness in the room. He managed to temporarily sort out where the cables where hanging out and the DB board which were my main concern as we had some kids from our family coming the next day. The door did not get fixed. We also informed him it wasn't a priority but one of the bed sockets was not working. Other things I did not report where there seemed to be a leak above the door, the floor boards were all sticking up and the bracket holding the toilet water spray was spinning none stop. We also found the AC to be locked out probably due to a BMS system. While the staff unlocked this and I understand efficiency etc I dont think this is a good idea for a hotel, all users should have access to AC. The smell on the 9th floor was unpleasant most days as well. Such a shame because I love coming to the hotel in Bengkulu and visit most years, this has made me think twice about booking there again. Usually the service is brilliant.
