I chose this hotel because it's kind of like a historical place, preserving its original architecture (dutch colonial cmiiw). located in the middle of Surabaya, surrounded by modern high building. Friendly staff, clean, good food. The only downside is the toilet use a bidet. I prefer if it use a bidet spray instead since its more hygienic.

Had a wonderful time staying at Majapahit Hotel Surabaya. The moment we entered the lobby was felt like stepped back in time. Booked a classic room but got a free upgrade to a Heritage Suite room as part of the Accor Platinum membership. The room was well designed and spacious. The lights were bright and everything worked well, implying that the hotel took a really good care of the room and overall facilities. Our room was located near the east garden where some restoration works were happening. Would love to try their rooms near the herbs garden in the future. For those who prefer a tranquil stay could opt to the more quite north garden area. We had a dinner at Indigo Restaurant and the foods were excellent. All the staffs were kind and helpful. Even the Hotel GM greeted us and other guests during breakfast one morning. I would suggest to book the Hotel Heritage Tour as well as part of your stay. It really helped to understand the rich history the hotel proudly preserve. The tour took around 45 minutes and it allows you to enter the historic legendary suite room which once was an office for the colonial Dutch and Japan as well. The afternoon tea was a perfect way to end the tour and it was delish (price included, but in our case it was free due to our Platinum tier member). In addition, its strategic location speaks itself. Highly recommend and would love to return
