The hotel was very legendary. It’s like 1930s Surabaya yet polished. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. Aurel was very dedicated. The room was clean and spacious. The restaurant buffet was incredible. And we simply love that hotel. Highly recommended.

I am very impressed with Majapahit Hotel Surabaya -MGallery Collection, its the best historical and vintage hotel that flawlessly preserve the original old world architecture and antique charm. The hotel is very cozy, I felt so peaceful staying at this hotel, so amazing!! The General Manager and all the staffs are very friendly and helpful I really recommend Majapahit Hotel Surabaya - MGallery Collection.

The hotel has a lovely ambience and beautiful colonial-style architecture, similar to Raffles Singapore, which I understand is part of the same hotel group. However, the pricing is very much more affordable. The location is excellent with plenty of cafes within walking distance and a large shopping mall nearby, making it very convenient for both dining and shopping. The service was good and the staff were pleasant and attentive throughout our stay. There are a few areas for improvement. The wardrobe had a damp smell when we entered the room, so I chose not to store my clothes there. The bathtub area and the corners between the sink and bathtub could also have been cleaned more thoroughly. The shower drainage was poor, causing water to accumulate and the lack of a shower curtain meant water spilled onto the bathroom floor during showers, creating a slippery surface. The towels were also not very soft and felt as though they had been used for a long time. I did not encounter these issues during my stays at Raffles Singapore, though it is difficult to make a direct comparison given the significant price difference :) Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay with a charming atmosphere. Despite the maintenance and housekeeping concerns, I would consider staying here again because of the pleasant service, attractive setting and excellent value for money.
