Banyan Tree Bintan Resort was the best place I’ve ever stayed. You can relax comfortably while enjoying the beautiful natural surroundings. Breakfast at the Treetops restaurant was absolutely delicious, and dinner can be enjoyed in a completely different atmosphere. I highly recommend it. I would also like to express my special thanks to the exceptionally kind staff members — Ester, Kasir, Joseph, and Michael. Thanks to them, I was able to spend a short but very happy time.

The entire family had a wonderful stay & it was really relaxing. We are greatly humbled by the experience and the treatment of all the staff in Banyan Tree. Thank you for taking care of us like it was our home away from home. Special thanks to Irsyad who assisted us upon check in & explained the details of the stay, for driving & picking us up with the buggy and helping us to get to our destination within Banyan Tree. We love the cheerful attitude everytime. To Rosi at Banyan Tree Spa, who assisted my during my almost 3 hours treatment, I felt really relaxed and pressure was really good. Thank you for hitting that painful spot indeed really good. To Darwis & Tommy from the Housekeeping Team who prepared a very pleasant surprise for the family. It was really an extra mile of service that you prepared that surprise for us after our dinner on our last night. Everyone felt really home during the stay. To the whole team at Banyan Tree Bintan, a huge thank you and greatly appreciate everyone from our family. We will definitely be back and we look forward to another amazing experience indeed. See you soon! ❤️

It was an excellent stay at Banyan Tree Bintan. Warm hospitality by the staff, especially wonderful service by Tommy and Darwis. Sofyan hosted us very well and we greatly appreciate the time, effort and dedication to ensure that we were well taken care of. The massage at Banyan Spa was also very relaxing and comfortable. One of our best family holidays!

This place needs a serious facelift and upgrade. The saving grace of the Banyan Tree Bintan is the truly wonderful level of service provided by the staff. Everyone I’ve encountered so far is knowledgeable and friendly and will go out of their way to help. Thank you Azani, who was so kind about moving our mountains of stuff when we changed rooms. I’m in the middle of a five night stay in a two bedroom ocean view Villa with my family. The room is as well maintained as it can be, but I don’t think it’s been renovated since this place opened in the 1990s. The AC is quite loud, one of the water basins in our bathroom is cracked and peeling, the water pressure in the shower is very low, the sliding doors jam, etc etc. I think this is all fine if the Banyan Tree were not aspiring to be the level of luxury that commands nearly $1000 a night. However, since this is the price point, you would really expect better from the hardware. The rooms really need an overhaul, not just touchups. My stay also provided one of the least inspiring breakfast buffets I’ve ever had in Asia. I’ve included a picture of the strawberries that were on offer for the guests, and it pretty much sums up the quality of the breakfast. The Black pepper beef was so dry that I wonder if it was rehydrated beef. The coffee was frankly awful swill. The chicken broth tasted like it was made from chicken powder and water. The pastries and bread were dry - like they’ve been left out for days. Besides some hard boiled eggs and a decent fruit selection, I did not find much to be edible. I’ve had breakfasts at hotels that charge one fifth the price as this place that were much, much better. The views and the grounds of the hotel are very beautiful. It’s really a shame that the rooms and breakfast fall short of the standards set by the location and service levels of the staff.

The Banyan tree went over & above for our stay for our anniversary. From the hospitality Team Daus was exceptional along with his team of Tommy, Bankrit, & Lilik were the sweetest & willingly to assist. They decorated our room twice check-in & evening! Had a wonderful stay!
