I stayed in Novotel Gajah Mada before and returned again for my short visit in Jakarta. They upgraded my room to premiere room, but the room was having 2 issues that were addressed in the 1st day. The wastafel sink was clogged and the safebox was locked hence can't be used. Engineer came to address both issue on the same day. Hotel location is superb as its near to historic locaiton of Jakarta which is pecinan and old town. Plenty of good food nearby like Bakmi Amoy, Bakmi kota tua, Asinan, Siomay L., etc. Few improvement areas are about the guest cleanliness. I saw other guest was spitting on the hotel floor and lift. Not local guest, but most likely from China. You may want to put a sign in chinese to address this.
