The excellent stay started with welcome by a smiling receptionist. Her job was professional, smooth and accurate as well. Room was big enough, bathroom was clean and bed mattress was in good condition. The only negative point was air conditioning was not controllable and freezing. There was a control panel, however, freezing air did not stop.

Was thinking a lot what score I should give and the 7 is with very critical eyes. I got a nice room upgrade, despite the capacity. The suite is very large, absolutely not needed for a single person. I think the general design is nice but it feels empty and no personality, as if you just moved into a new apartment with nothing in it. There should be things that make the apartment feel lively. Many Ibis Styles, Mama Shelters or some Novotels (like Novotel Nara in JP) do a really good job on that. Additionally, I think the suite, specifically the bathroom, was cleaned in a hurry. This was not a major issue for me personally but there were still some stains in the bathroom near the sinks. I dont think it was entirely the cleaning staffs fault either, as they may have been rushed to clean it quickly as well. Breakfast had a great selection but the noodle station almost had no flavor on its own and was not seasoned. While i understand that I have to option flavor it myself with a variety of condiments and seasoning available, I think the key experience would be to receive a finished product already. Some airport lounges do a really good job on that for example and i I think hotels are generally sleeping on this. Things like the chicken breast or the hainanese chicken pieces were extremely dry and therefore, it was not a pleasant experience to eat. The flavor of the hainanese chicken, despite being dry, was good. There were other things that did not provide a great experience, like the orange juice (blended/juiced with too much pith, making it bitter?) or the tiny burger sandwich. Check-In/Check-Out was a standard experience. I would have appreciated some "welcome treats" in the room or sent there after but I understand the hotel was quite busy during my stay and there may have been other priorities, so not a big deal either. I mentioned Novotel Nara earlier. They made it possible to order room service with just a few clicks on a screen, no calling or anything. It would add to the experience if room service could be ordered within an app or something as I personally dont enjoy calling the reception/kitchen to order. Overall, I would absolutely stay at the hotel again. The price compared to other Fairmont locations is a big win and I appreciated the experience. The staff was great everywhere in the hotel. The 7 is me being very critical but I think it is appropriate for what Fairmont is trying to be. Thanks

Excellent stay overall. I received a room upgrade as an Accor Gold member, which was much appreciated. Service was great as expected, and the breakfast was excellent. The only downside for us was the limited activities for young children within the hotel. As we were staying with a toddler, having more kid-friendly activities or facilities would have made the experience even better and easily a 10/10.

I stayed for over a week and the hotel staff were fabulous. The hotel is positioned well and the food is very good. It’s a real shame that the construction of the building only included single-pane windows as there seem to be nightly road races around the streets surrounding the hotel. Even on the 32nd floor it’s ridiculously loud during the night, disturbing the residents.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at Fairmont Jakarta. The location is excellent, the views are beautiful, and the hotel feels grand and luxurious. The service was very good, and we especially loved the rooftop lounge on the 22nd floor. However, there were a few issues. First, traffic noise from the main road is very loud, so I strongly recommend bringing earplugs if you are sensitive to noise. Second, our Sky Suites Residence had a washing machine but no dryer or drying rack. When I requested a drying rack, I was told that guests were not supposed to hang laundry inside the residence, which was confusing considering that a washing machine is provided. The biggest issue was the air conditioning. My nephew slept in the living room, where the temperature stayed at 19°C all night. He tried several times to adjust it, but the controls did not work. The next morning, after I called a staff member, it appeared there was an issue with the AC settings that prevented us from controlling the temperature properly. Unfortunately, my nephew became quite unwell after spending the entire night in such a cold room. He could barely eat and struggled with our planned activities for the following two days. We otherwise had a wonderful stay, which makes this even more disappointing. I sincerely hope the hotel checks its AC settings carefully so that future guests can properly control their room temperature.

Great hotel and one of the best experience we had in Jakarta in the last years. People are the cornerstone of the Fairmont success, and everyone we interacted with was just awesome (Eka at the Crown restaurant, Nine at the spa and Cahaya at the Peacock lounge). From check in to check out, everything was wonderful. Excellent staff all round, with special thanks to GM Carlos Monterde, who also popped by to check on our event in the hotel. Minor issue just before we checked out with a leaking tap and pipe at the sink… but quickly fixed by the engineers.
