Hello, I am writing to explain the one of the worst stay at any Accor Hotel in my recent times. I was in Jakarta for vacation and some work and I have booked my 2 nights at Fairmont Jakarta, which turned out to be a painful and such a disappointing experience for me. More to follow in details as below: So, it began from checkin , as I checked in there was no priority line for Platinum guest and I had to wait for 10-15 minutes just to get myself checked in which is not a big issue though but atleast an issue is still a concern. The real challenge begins with the room alloted to me . As I booked a suite room by using my Suite Night Upgrades voucher, I was being given the original room itself and there was no upgrades given on that being a Platinum member, I would have expected a little bit on that but the major issue was with the room alloted to me, the room looked quite dated with basic things provided in the room. To my surprise, there was no proper welcome amenity given or kept in the room. I mean I am a Platinum member and you are just sending me some cut friends which also looked not so fresh at all so I didn’t even bothered to taste them. The other shocking thing, there was no welcome note or a letter being provided comtaining my benefits and privileges of being a Accor Platinum . It was quite quite disappointing. Being stayed at many other Fairmonts I have never saw this kind of experience at your property. During the evening hours Inwas expecting the lounge access to Fairmont Gold lounge but I was denied and being told that its only accessible for Diamond members which is OK as the same could be seen on Accor website but just to re-confirm I have stayed at Fairmont Makati Manila and Fairmont Mumbai both of the properties have extended us to Fairmont Gold lounge all the time of our stay. BUT the issue is with the lounge access provided to Platinum members at Fairmont Jakarta which is again a quite underwhelming experience. There is just a basic drinks menu and no food services at all. I mean seriously, the lower tier hotels like Pullman, Novotel or Grand Mercure does it much better with their lounge access provided as they have variety of cold and hot snacks are up for grab everytime during the cocktail hours. I tried to order couple of dishes at your restaurant and the same were so pathetic that It was quite bland to eat and no one even came to check upon how the food was, which is quite a bummer. The more painfully and annoying part started during the night time, there was so much noise outside due to traffic or movement of vehicles nearby area it caused lots of sound inside the room during the late night hours which is not a treatment you would expect from a lavish 5 star property with a brand name of Fairmont. I mean the room is so outdated that the glasses on window are not even replaved with the latest trend for providing noise cancellation in the room. I guess even the local hotels in any country these days are better in thus context or if the Hotel was close to airport, I would have even understood but this thing made my both of the nights being sleepless. We were nkt able to sleep at all on bith of the nights provided the front desk changed the room for us once but the issue was same there as well and it didn’t changed at all. Honestly, this was very basic and underwhelming as a person come to hotel to enjoy the property and have a proper tight sleep which in my case was lacking during both the nights of my stay. The breakfast experience at Fairmont jakarta is also quite lacking and disappointing. I remember my days when I had breakfast at other Fairmont properties which waas phenomenal everytime and I was also excited for the similar experience at Fairmont Jakarta which turned out to be in opposite direction as it was a passable experience . No attentive service was provided, the food spread was basic and the international choices were less and not upto mark. I have also requested for vegetarian food as we are from India and its what we eat but I believe the request was not entertained by the hotel staff. Again a big failue for us on this last part of our experience. During the stay we got to speak to various staff members naming : Charlie, Dinda , Andrew but got the same neutral response, no one looked helpful to understand the situation and what we facing during the stay. Honestly speaking, I had stayed at lots of Accor properties but I have never had this kind of unforgettable and disappointing experience ever especially from a big brand like Fairmont. In contrast, I have stayed for 4 nights from December 1 - December 5 at Raffles Jakarta and I should say the experience was top notch with everyone doing their best and keeping the spirits high for Platinum Elite members like us by taking and working on all the requests provided to them. The food, the staff , the service at Raffles has been excellent but the Indonesian hospitality failed significantly at Fairmont Jakarta. I have used my 2 SNUs which I earn every year being a Platinum member and were value able for me but I personally think I have utilised those on the most underwhelming property. I have paid the similar amount at Raffles Jakarta and got a different level experience but it was the opposite case here , truly wastage of my time , experience and the amount I utilised here at Fairmont Jakarta. I therefore request the hotel management to investigate the matter and get back to me wirh the proper resolution for the lack of service and the discrepancies happened during my stay at your hotel as its a serious concern for me and that’s why I am highlighting this on my feedback to the General manager and if needed or the resolution not provided I would make sure I share the feedback to the Accor Asia Pacific head to know my views on this experience.

Beautiful room and hotel overall but some opportunities: 1) room WiFi did not function all weekend and no IT support to fix. Due to poor cell service I was forced to go elsewhere for my business needs, which was frustrating 2) I was notified at check-in that I would get no Accor points because I used a booking site and was not made aware of this limitation 3) food quality at breakfast was good but there are space issues in the facility. I and many others were asked to sit at elevated barstool seating crammed in the middle of he dining area facing complete strangers. For me, this was not a premium experience 4) my room faced Jl Asia Africa on 13th floor and the motorcycle noise on Saturday and Sunday morning was incredibly loud. Next time I hope to be placed on back side of the hotel

Overall a good eperience as usual, and maybe was really crowded as they told, but not all departement handled well... breakfast indeed solved directing us to 3rd floor as 2nd floor was congested, but luggage service fault completely, at check out we end up bring the luggage directly down after over 20 min waiting...
