We spent four nights at Sofitel Le Scribe Paris Opera from New Year's Day 2026, and this hotel was the heart of our Paris stay. It’s the kind of place that immediately makes you slow down, sleep well, and actually enjoy being on vacation rather than rushing through the city. The location is outstanding. You’re steps from the Opéra Garnier, within walking distance of the Louvre, Place de la Concorde, and Les Halles, and well connected by metro to the Champs-Élysées, the Arc de Triomphe, Montmartre/Sacre Coeur, and the Eiffel Tower. While surrounded by other luxury hotels, the Sofitel Le Scribe Paris Opera stands out for feeling refined and modern rather than overly formal or dated. This was a hotel for over 100 years and was apparently the late Josephine Baker's hotel of choice. Our room was quiet, spacious by Paris standards, and thoughtfully designed. It had excellent lighting, plenty of outlets and charging ports, and a large, high-quality TV. We were placed in a very quiet part of the hotel with minimal foot traffic, which significantly improved sleep quality. We went to bed at midnight and woke up at 9:30 AM every day feeling refreshed. That's how good the sleep was! Service throughout the stay was excellent. Guest relations were attentive without being intrusive, and check-in was smooth. A shout-out to Bilal who was the guest relations manager who checked me in! Small details, such as nightly turndown service and thoughtful in-room touches, really elevated the experience. Breakfast was a highlight, with a strong buffet and high-quality made-to-order options. The fitness center is compact but well-equipped and rarely crowded, which was perfect after long days of walking around Paris. While the hotel is not inexpensive, and late checkout was not available due to high occupancy, these were minor drawbacks in an otherwise excellent stay. Sofitel Le Scribe Paris Opera is an ideal choice if you want a central, comfortable, and well-run hotel that feels modern while still reflecting Parisian history. We would happily stay here again.

Well appointed hotel in a central location. A Metro right line runs directly under some of the rooms in the front of the hotel, so if you are a light sleeper, recommend ensuring you are not in a room above the Metro line… runs for about 18 hours a day. Rivages, the hotel restaurant, food is fantastic!

From the moment we stepped into Sofitel Le Scribe to the moment we departed, we had an outstanding experience. The staff welcomed us warmly and gave us a detailed overview of our stay and the hotel amenities. We were kindly escorted to our room and were shown how to work the lights and curtains before the team member left us to enjoy the beautiful layout and view that we had of Le Scribe. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was attentive and polite. I can't wait to return to Paris just so I can stay at this hotel again.

We enjoyed all except the very bad service from concierge.

Please be assured that our team truly did their utmost to assist you: our concierge team was in contact both by email and by phone with American Express’ concierge team to help organize your Parisian stay. The restaurants you requested were contacted several times and, when availability could not be secured, alternative solutions were proposed. Unfortunately, the festive season is an exceptionally busy period in Paris, with very high demand and many venues fully booked. This can occasionally limit our possibilities despite our best efforts. We fully understand your disappointment and regret this situation. We are, however, delighted to read that you greatly enjoyed your accommodation, breakfast, cleanliness, and the overall comfort of the hotel, and we thank you sincerely for highlighting these positive aspects.
