In terms of location the hotel is on the same concourse as Gare de Lyon so great for early morning travelers.

Dear Susanne, We are pleased to hear that you found our location ideal for your needs. You had booked a Superior room which is our first category of rooms and you had a free upgrade to our second catgory : Privilège room. This upgrade offers you more equipment : coffee machine, full minibar, bathrobes, slippers etc. However Privilège rooms are not bigger than the first category. Our heating system is a central system for all the hotel. It has two modes : heater or A/C. As we are in february and the temperatures are quite cold, the mode used is heater which means A/C is not available in the all hotel. However our reception team is 24/24H available to assist you and can lend you a fan, or if availability allows it change your room. We look forward to welcoming you back for a better experience. I have stayed here several times. Generally it is OK, but this time the check-in experience was particularly poor. To begin with, a member of staff was just standing around doing nothing while we were waiting to check in. She only jumped into action when the manager offered to check us in himself. Then she insisted that we needed to pay the "tax du sejour" when we did not - the booking confirmation showed, in two independent ways, that it had already been paid. Despite showing her the booking confirmation and pointing out that it clearly stated that "fees and taxes" were included, and that the amount remaining to pay at the hotel was zero, she still said her system showed it was due - and not in a friendly or apologetic way, but in a dull, computer-says-no kind of way. This was a very poor customer service experience.

Hotel was the perfect location for our overnight stay on the way to our ski holiday. Only downside was how hot the room was and air-con didn't cool it down enough.

The room was lovely and Nuxe toiletries a bonus. The confusion at book in was resolved after a while (we were informed we had not paid for breakfast when we had) so all from then went smoothly.

This was the last stop in a 6 city journey. Check in was simple, the room had a view, the bed was the most comfortable we had yet. Being next to Gar de Lyon train station made travelling around Paris so easy. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend the Hotel Mecure.
