I had previously stayed at the Novotel Gare de Lyon which was nice but on this return trip prior to taking another train trip and with the hot weather wanted a place that hopefully had more reliable A/C. The Mercure did in fact have great A/C and I was upgraded to a Privilege room but unfortunately my mini fridge was not functional. The location can’t be beat if you are taking a train and the fitness room albeit small is functional.

I spent 4 nights and booked two double rooms for me and my family. Rooms are small but still comfortable and clean, with amenities such as a minibar, flat-screen TV, and free Wi-Fi. Very rich and nice breakfast buffet. Presence of a gym but I have not used it. I appreciated the support of one lady at the reception, very kind and tried her best to support me during an injury. The Hotel is well located, exactly outside the Gare de Lyon station, so extremely well connected with Orly airport and with the metro lines. On top of this there are lots of services in the area, so I suggest it as location.
