Stayed one night. Location is great for catching a morning train. Room was very clean but also very small considering the price.

Positives: very conveniently located. friendly staff. Swift check-in and check-out process. Good soundproofing to room windows. Room and WC were comfortable overall. Negatives: room was too warm, and air conditioning didn't work. Bed-sheets were itchy. Uncomfortable pillows - square pillow filled with air, and not much else.

We are sincerely sorry to learn that your overall experience with us was disappointing, even though you appreciated many parts of your stay as well. We would like to thank you for highlighting our convenient location, our friendly team, great check-in and check-out process, soundproofing in-room and the overall confort of your room. Until now we didn't have any room temperature complaints. At the moment our A/C system is still turned off, as we have a central system which allows only two mode summer (heater) and winter (A/C). Unfortunatly we can not monitor it per room nor we can activate both modes. Have we known about this matter in room we could have lend you a fan or change you of room. Please, do not hesitate during your stay to inform our reception team about any inconvenience, so we can assist you during your stay. Your remarks about bed linens and pillow have also been shared to our housekeeping manager to further investigate this matter. Rooms were a bit 90’s-ish and worn. Super small room, no floor space. But worst was the lack of sound proofing between rooms and you could hear the trains on the tracks all night long. If you’re a light sleeper, then bring earplugs. Location was nevertheless great, but would advice to take the Marriott courtyard across the Place instead.

Dear BCM, First of all, we thank you for choosing the Mercure Paris Gare de Lyon TGV for your Parisian stay. We are sincerely sorry to read you have been disappointed by your room. All our rooms have been renovated a few years ago (not from the 90's) and are around 17m² as stated on our different booking websites and pre-arrival mails. They focus on the essentials: a comfortable and a well-designed space. However, we accept they are not to your liking. Regarding the sound-proofing issue you mentioned we sincerely apologize. It is not the level of quality we want to provide. Our maintenance team will check your room in order to determine the cause of the problem. During your stay, do not hesitate to inform our team about any disconfort as our reception is present 24/24H and can give you earplug or change your room (if the availability allows it). Our Housekeeping Manager has also been informed about the second issue you mentioned. This matter will be trated with the person who prepared your room.
