Charming top-floor room with beautiful glass windows, bright and airy, with a lovely balcony and a great view. Beautiful Spa with a magnificent pool with a stunning glass roof. Good food and great drinks. Friendly staff and good service.

I'm just back from a flying visit (three nights) to Paris and used the opportunity to try out a new hotel for me, the Boutet Bastille. Happy to report that it was a good choice. I find I'm staying in Accor hotels more and more these days, certainly in France but also in Europe more widely. But it's only my second stay in a MGallery establishment (the other being in Lyon, also reviewed on this website). They are not cheap but you get what you pay for and I was well looked after. The Boutet Bastille is in a former industrial building (something to do with chocolate, I believe) in a quietist street in a really nice part of town not far from the Place de la Bastille. There was no street noise in the room at all, nor did I hear my neighbours within the hotel - absolutely the most important thing for me when staying somewhere. My room was large with all the usual things you expect in a high-end establishment. But I must mention the amazing shower - possibly the most powerful I've come across in a hotel. And the breakfast served in the room was spot-on, with the cooked bit arriving hot, which isn't always the case. Staff were friendly and spoke good English. There's no restaurant in the hotel (apart from breakfast) but there are loads in the surrounding streets.

My family very much enjoyed our stay at the Boutet Bastille Hotel. The rooms were well appointed, comfortable and roomy for Paris. The breakfast was very good. The fitness center and indoor pool were also very nice. However, the staff made the stay exceptional. They were friendly and went out of their way way to assist and make sure all our needs were met.
