Multi lingual staff made sure I was comfortable and helped me relocate a post item. Room was simple but had nearly everything I needed. The only reason for not giving a 10 is that a kettle and cup for a wake up coffee would be really good, especially as an older, single traveller.

The rooms aren’t great - really small and dated. Being the original Mama Shelter, I can understand why. Location wise, it’s in an area that’s new to us, but close to the legendary cemetery so we got to visit Jim Morrison and Oscar Wilde’s as well as Edith Piaf’s grave. Nearest metro station are within 10 mins walk. But easy enough to get to next neighbourhood using a taxi. Victor at reception was helpful but I found staff in the restaurant were snobby and unhelpful. First time ordering coffee to go, there was no lid. Second time, was told to go to the bar, then rudely to go to the back bar and wait to order a coffee only to be told the only takeaway cup they have is for espressos. A good place to stay if you don’t spend anytime in the room and want a different Paris experience. But I will not stay here again based on the quality’s and cleanliness of the rooms.

Nice design with striped down to the basics facilities. You won't even find a plastic cup in the room. The staff were great.
