Compared to other hotel rooms in Paris, this is a modern, well-designed and comfortable room with a generous floor area. The restaurant and other venues within the hotel are also very pleasant places. We didn’t have any negative experiences during our three-night stay. Overall, on our trip focused on exploring Paris, the staff who welcomed us warmly in the evenings and our comfortable room more than met our expectations.

I have spent $20k+ since 2022 at Mama Shelter. My max stay at Mama Shelter was 5 weeks. Each stay is at least 2 weeks. All my stays in Paris and Lisbon have been at MS. This trip my sister and I had lunch in the restaurant in Paris East. Your manager, who as far as can tell, serves no useful purpose, asked if I paid the check. I was so offended. If I had not paid the check, more than likely I would have lied. So I looked at him with incredulity and told him to check with my waiter Soni. First of all he had seen me a number of times and knew that I was staying in the hotel. Second, the waiter always knows if a guest had paid. When it was obvious that Soni confirmed that I had paid and tipped, no apology, no sorry for the misunderstanding, or any idiotic excuse. Nothing. My sister asked about the encounter and I was forced to tell her the truth. She wanted to leave MS immediately and go to another hotel. I have purchased lodging for myself, my sister, and 2 cousins at MS since 2022. That unfortunately has come to an end. I described all this to your front desk manager (Julienne or Juliette). There is no need to respond. This relationship has clearly reached its end with no way of reconciling.

While it is normal for our teams to ensure that bills have been settled correctly, the way this interaction was handled clearly left you feeling embarrassed, questioned and disrespected. What disappoints us most is not only the misunderstanding itself, but the absence of an apology once the situation had been clarified. We completely understand why this experience affected both you and your sister, and why it overshadowed the relationship you had built with Mama over the years. We have shared your feedback with our management team, as this is not the level of hospitality, recognition and care we strive to provide to our guests—especially those who have shown such remarkable loyalty to our brand. Although you mentioned that there is no need to respond and that this relationship has reached its end, we could not let your message go unanswered. MAMA SAYS SORRY 😢 Thank you again for the many stays, memories and moments you have shared with us over the years. We are truly sorry that your latest experience left you with such disappointment.
