I do not wish for this to be published but purely for you to know. When I checked into the room there was a dirty used towel on the back of the door. Also the spoons in the breakfast buffet were dirty, I presume hand washed. I did not feel like the young uninsterested men at check in would be helpful. Plus I didnt want them coming to my room, I also did not feel safe generally. The window in the room 16 opens to a flat roof adjancent to other full length windows meaning anyone from each room could walk up to another room. I couldnt leave the window open without feeling unsafe. You should put bars infront of it. The front of the hotel was littered with garbage bags.

Towels were very thin, toilet door was rotting , made the room feel quite shabby , no British TV channels for news.

The hotel is very well located, next to the Gare de l'Est, close to the Gare du Nord, and next to a metro stop (line 4). I had a spacious room on a high floor. No noise from the street in the room. Airconditioned room. Some noise from the venitlation system. Plenty of restaurants nearby.

I have stayed in the hotel many times now and I am indeed a fan due to the location and basic comfort. Your staff members are always friendly. Nevertheless - one thing did really annoy me though. The lift was out of order yesterday (18 March) - not hugely dramatic but I would have preferred not to carry my heavy suitcase down the narrow staircase - I am glad I wasn't staying on the top floor. This is in fact at least the second time when I stayed there that the lift was out of order.
