We loved the location as it was a walking distance to a lot of places we went to. The main disappointment was the lack of air conditioning as we were told A/C is not turned on during winter though it’s in April and temperatures were high on some days. Ventilation was poor given the small room we had and we sweat out a lot at night time. My child developed heat rash on the 2nd day of our stay. A/C was one of the main reasons we booked this hotel so this should have been clearly stated on the website to prevent false advertisement. Also, we were surprised that even for a family of three, we could only get 1 water bottle a day in our room. Breakfast was really good though it was the same everyday. Staff were friendly but we didn’t get any help with our luggages upon check in. Is this not a common courtesy in 4 start hotels in Paris?

The Hotel Mercure Paris La Sorbonne/St. Germain des Pres offers comfortable rooms and exquisite service in the Latin Quarter at affordable rates. Close to The Luxembourg Gardens, the Pantheon and Notre Dame, this small and well-appointed lodging puts you into the heart of central Paris—just outside your front door. The friendly and bilingual staff can help you plan your visit to the City of Light; the breakfast available daily includes both North American and European options. The hotel is close to many public transport choices, and you can access the hotel directly from Charles De Gaulle airport (CDG) since the RER B train from CDG brings you to the Luxembourg/Senat station an easy 5-minute walk to the hotel, making both your entrance and exit from Paris a snap! It’s awesome. As an experienced visitor to Paris, this is always my first choice, especially when I want to introduce my friends and family to the French capital.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful and I would happily stay again at the hotel in a future trip to Paris. The location is perfect, the room is clean and very comfortable and the staff was kind. The bed is so comfortable and I loved to see that there was a new bottle of water in the room every day. Additionally, loved that the reception always had a basket of croissants, this was the cherry on top. The one thing I didn't love is that the doors are not so thick, so I could hear the movement on the floor when other guests were entering or leaving the rooms.
