While the staff at the check-in desk and housekeeping were friendly, the employees at the breakfast restaurant and bar seemed rather indifferent to guests. In particular, their tendency to chat among themselves or lounge around even when there were no guests detracted from the overall dignity of the hotel. Additionally, despite having breakfast at 8 AM, the staff at the egg station was frequently absent, and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant felt disorganized. Furthermore, the lack of attention when guests were leaving—showing no care whether guests were departing or not—reflected poorly on the hotel's image.

Had a pleasant stay, well located with nice staff, especially Aimee who would go beyond expectations to make sure that all of your questions are answered, restaurants are properly checked and reserved.

My mom and I had a wonderful stay at Hotel L'Échiquier. Amilee at the front desk was the most hospitable and we couldn’t be more impressed by her customer service. So many nice touches at this hotel, from the afternoon tea, small chocolate bars, complimentary soft drinks each day and the Clarins products - we enjoyed the comfort of the room and the service we experienced. Location was excellent too, not too far from restaurants and points of interests but off a quiet street. Hotel was overall very pleasant. Would absolutely recommend and would stay here again.
