I visited as the final destination of a “Cities of Light” Viking River Cruise. As such, I can’t comment on the check-in/check-out experience of regular guests. During our visit, the construction on the street meant a narrow pedestrian walkway out front and a bit of a traffic mess with the motorcoaches dropping off/picking up our group - obviously not the hotel’s issue. The employees with whom I interacted were lovely. One, in particular, gave us great dinner recommendations. I thanked her the next day and she was willing to suggest others, as well. Though the breakfast buffet at Umami was busy, I very much appreciated being welcomed and seated by a staff member. Buffets can be awkward enough without having to scout out a table. The staff here were uniformly pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed our hotel room - though we never quite figured out which light switch controlled which light(s) - and its facilities. The shower was raised so it is a big step down to the bathroom floor (and, despite our best efforts, we inevitably created a small puddle on the floor after using the shower). Lots of bistros, restaurants, etc. were nearby but the hotel is a distance away from the touristy hubs around more well-known Paris landmarks. The area is busy but not chaotic. Lastly, the bed and pillows. Heaven.

I stayed one night at the Pullman Paris Montparnasse in April 2025, and unfortunately my experience was far from the high standards I expected. When I arrived, the front-desk agent bombarded me with questions—at least a hundred—yet somehow never asked why there were two reservations under my uncommon surname for the exact same date. I had booked in December during a stressful time (my mother was ill and sadly passed away), and in my haste I accidentally made two identical reservations. After checking out, I discovered I’d been charged twice: once for the room I used, and once for a “no-show” on the duplicate booking. Despite emailing the hotel multiple times and explaining the situation, they refused to credit the erroneously made reservation. It feels as though they deliberately capitalize on confused guests to boost revenue. A simple confirmation call or a quick chat at check-in could have prevented this entirely—yet they chose to pass the extra charge onto me. Customer service should be the hallmark of any reputable hotel, but the Pullman Paris Montparnasse fell short. Their unwillingness to correct an obvious oversight left me feeling taken advantage of. I will not return, and I advise fellow travelers to double-check their bookings carefully—and to think twice before trusting this hotel with any flexibility.

The welcoming part was not great at all, we had to struggle with our bags and got no help from Anyone at that hotel even though we arrived during business hours - 11 am in the morning. Such a turn off.😒 Room was nice and comfortable and Breakfast also good.

The room was upgraded to a suite, Thank to the Pullman Team. However when I did use the sink, it was defect and I receive all the water on my feet ! I call the reception at 11.00pm, they send a Technical Staff Member who has repaired. Nevertheless the bathroom remained with the wet floor, due to the amount of water.
