Great location for exploring Paris. Loved the neighbourhood and access to shops and restaurants. We were a little disappointed with the noise level, which was a combination of the ongoing renovations and the number of very noisy children without parental control. We literally had to leave the geodesic dome in the restaurant in the middle of our meal one evening because of out of control kids. We used to travel with 5 children and would never have let them disrupt other guests like that. The overall service was good and the staff friendly. One other minor criticism though. We arrived from an overnight flight at 7.30am in the morning. We were not expecting a room to be ready, which it wasn't, but we were assured that we would be contacted as soon as one was available. It was only after we returned to the lobby exhausted, after walking around for several hours that we noted new arrivals being immediately given keys. Upon enquiry, it turned out our room had been ready for some time, but no message had been sent.

When we departed the front desk offered their car service they said was part of the hotel to take us to the train station. They NEVER said they would charge us for it. Had they said that upfront I would have compared the price. They last takes us to the train station and hands us a credit card machine and tells us it will be $35!!!!!! We feel like it was a scam to make more money. It was very weird and ended our birthday trip on a sour note.

The staff was wonderful and helpful but our room was dingy and run down. There were a lot of marks in the wall, chipped paint and some discoloration in the carpet by the shower. Would not stay here again.
