Check-in was excellent and the staff was fun and kind! I appreciated walking up seeing the pride flag outside the hotel. I had a water bottle on this trip and the sinks in the room were too small for it to fit, so I asked to front desk for help and they told me I could use the breakfast area water dispenser. This mostly worked, and one night I was told I could not go there bc it was closed but the front desk staff graciously took my bottle to the back and filled it up for me, which was very kind. The next morning, I tried to go to the breakfast area again to fill it up and it was closed (we were a bit late), so we went to the front desk to ask again about filling it, but this interaction was by far the worst employee of the trip. Red hair, glasses, with yellow nails. She seemed to take offense to the fact that we asked for this and asked like it was obvious "why dont you use the sink in your room" which we explained we could not easily fit it under the faucet. From there she basically just scoffed and said "I cannot help you" which is odd because very clearly it was possible to receive help given the employee the prior night. In short, I have high praise for the black gentlemen and the other woman with glasses who answered all my questions in English well, but the red haired woman probably shouldnt be talking to guests if this is how she would act 😅 maybe I have a different impression of how hospitality should be, but it just left a sour taste in my mouth. I guess she just didn't want to help. Outside of the service, the room was simple but suited our needs, with a very stunning view of the cemetery. The soundproofing in the building was not the best, and we could here any conversation going on anywhere in the hall inside the room. This was disturbing when trying to sleep (also when children ran through the hall) but not much can be done about the building architecture I suppose. If you are looking for luxury I wouldn't suggest this, but if you just need a place to crash after enjoying the city, go for it. Just stay away from the red haired woman 😂
