Staff friendly and helpful. Given that you have a lot of foreigners staying, I would suggest having a supply of international electric plug adaptors at Reception. This was the first time in 40 years of travel I didn't have one - but nor did you!

Very helpful staff, clean and breakfast good and reasonably priced.

Very good location, modernized hotel but low on room facilities: no safe nor refrigerator in the room. The pillow sheets had YELLOW STAINS on all four of them and I came back home with BEDBUGS, very unfortunate. The young staff tried to be friendly but were not really helpful as they apparently lack experience dealing with older customers.

The reception area was really nice, looked like a far more expensive hotel, the rooms are very small but there is enough room and it has everything I needed, breakfast was decent as well.

When arriving at the hotel , (which I have used on lots of occasions, ) the reception staff were very rude and of hand ,not the greeting we would have expected we had checked in online to speed up checking in this turned out to be a slow and painful experience. After going to our room ( which was a newly refurbished room , very nice) we went to the bar for something to eat and drink service was slow and clumsy we had to check that our order had been taken as it took so long. When we paid for our drinks etc I chose to pay by card having put in my pin number and told to remove my card it transpired there was no paper in the machine and the barman decided our payment had not gone through and I needed to carry out the transaction again , I asked for a copy of the transaction and was told this would not happen I tried to explain I needed a copy for my records and a receipt is a legal requirement , I was then told I was wrong and If the payment went through twice all i had to do was call the hotel and they would refund me , i was not happy with this and asked to speak to the manager a young lady sat at the bar said she was the manager ( this is the same young lady who turned her back on me at my last visit) told me it was the law that pay before leaving the bar and it wasn't their fault they could not prove the transaction had failed and she became quite aggressive wanting to bring an end to the situation i decided to pay a second time only after showing your staff how to put a roll in the card machine. I later found the duty manager who was able to print a copy of the required receipt ( which showed a void transaction) had your bar staff been able to do this our evening would not have been ruined. I think you need some major staff training this used to be such a good hotel you can decorate and modernise but ultimately it's the staff and the service that make a hotel

A one night stay. I enjoyed the evening meal and breakfast. The room was comfortable and had all the facilities needed for a good night's sleep. The décor of the room was showing its age, and the shower fixing was broken. These did not however detract from an overall good experience. Really good location.

I was very disappointed with the noise around me. I checked in midday 20th November and was very tired. I wanted to sleep but everywhere it was construction. My bed was nearly vibrating because of that. This Noise woke me up at 8 am next day but the lady promised it will be quiet at least till 9. What was also not acceptable for me. But all the rooms shown on the first day were about the same noise so I chose the first one -704. Then the room: it is very small even for 1 person. No safe, no fridge (what was crucial for me as I bought cheese on the last evening). Pillows are too soft, I felt bad with my neck. Blanket is too heavy. Breakfast is very poor. I understand French people have different culture of breakfast but I hoped that in a chain hotel that would be different. Porridge, omelette, fried eggs, vegetables would be highly appreciated. The price I paid for one night was around 200-250 Eur, I expected it would cost that but overall impression is very poor.

Overall, this was a great hotel. Great location near Bastille as well as Chemin Vert metro stations and easy access to Blvd Richard Lenoir, relatively quiet neighborhood. The restaurant was also surprisingly good. Friendly helpful staff.

No tea making facilities in room No umbrellas available to borrow from Reception Breakfast tables were slow to be cleared on most days of my 6 day stay Café experience was very poor - meal and wine selections were not available although still shown on the menu - even though few patrons were present!

We are repeat guests at IBIS Bastille and other Accor Hotels. We are always very satisfied with your hotel, your lobby service in particular and all other services. We have only one exception and that is your breakfast arrangement compared with all other IBIS hotels. Price of breakfast is not high at all but quality is very poor. I wrote this already last year. So this time we have decided to enjoy our start of the day with a good breakfast outside of your hotel. See reason for above 9 points in stead of 10. We will be back early next year.

Checking in: I paid upfront and when I checked in, I was asked to have my credit card swiped. This I did but I was concerned that they straight away put 50 euros on my card. Usually the card is swiped without any payment being taken for pre-authorisation. They assured me I would be refunded as soon as I checked out. However 3 days after I had checked out it was still showing on my credit card. So I had to contact customer services for the Accor Group to get it sorted. The person at customer services was very very helpful (Mr Yassir) and promised me he would get the money refunded after I sent him a screen shot of my bank statement. Therefore my suggestion to the hotel is -- swipe customers cards but please do not automatically put money on the card as this caused me hassle, time and I was very concerned as I do not live in France. Room: The twin room was adequate, basic and clean, but quite small for 2 people to stay in. When I asked for 2 additional pillows as we both wanted one, I was told I could only have one and instead of the one pillow being delivered, I had to go down and get it from reception -- in my experience housekeeping usually delivers these. Also only one bath towel each and no handtowels. I was going to ask for more towels but expected to only be allowed one and did not want to have to fight over that if I was allowed another towel. It is the norm in most hotels to have a bath towel and hand towel per person. Breakfast: However the breakfast for 10.90 euros was good except you could not have any fried or scrambled eggs and you have to figure out how to use the interesting egg boiler machine if you want boiled eggs. Also in hotels I always fill my small water bottle up with the water available at breakfast and the lady behind the counter gave me a dirty look -- I was quite surprised at this as I did not really feel that I should have to fill my water bottle up from the bathroom tap in my room. Reception: The majority of the staff at reception were quite good but some had much better English than others so I tried to make sure that if I needed to ask about anything, I would wait and go to the one who I knew spoke good English. (I was there for 3 days). Location: I chose this hotel as my daughter lives in Paris and it was a 15 minute walk away from her flat (a typical extremely small Parisian flat that barely fits her so we booked into the hotel). Also it was a 10 minute walk to the metro and on the way there was a pharmacy which was useful. I will probably stay at this hotel again if there are 2 of us coming to Paris, but will ask at reception that they do not take money off of my credit card, only swipe it now that I know this is what they want to do. I will also ask for more towels and pillows before I go up to the room now that I know what to expect.

All in all, this was a pleasant stay. There is nothing very specific about this hotel, it is a standard ibis hotel. Convenient, but not very original.

Ibis hotel usually have a standards in terms of design, decoration, and food & beverage, that is very different from what we do. We are one of the only Ibis hotels that has renovated completely its common spaces (lobby, bar, restaurant, front desk) in a green atmosphere. Good first impression due to stylish decor of public area; bedroom comfortable but decor required renewal especially floor covering; hotel well placed for travel by Metro and RER; breakfast rather limited but excellent coffee; wine accompanying meal was expensive and of low quality.

The room was well furnished and clear. Towels and bed sheets were clear too. Bed was very comfortable. Wi Fi and cable TV were working properly. However, there was not a good noise isolation between the rooms and a fridge was missing. Receptionists were very kind and helpful. Breakfast was very satisfied. The neighborhood was quiet, close to transportation stations and had many and interesting choices for someone to have a lunch, dinner or drink.
