Whilst the rooms were clean they were very small. The air-conditioning did not work and there was mould in the shower, which was only big enough for a small child.

Fabulous location, clean and modern hotel. Wish they had laundry services, but the thing that irked me most was the towel situation. I was in a single room and given 2 large towels. I asked for some small towels, and was told they didn't have small towels, only big ones. I didn't love that, but OK, fine -- I hung one in one spot, and the other in a different spot. But then, when the cleaner came each day, they would hang them both in the same spot, meaning I could not differentiate between which towel I had used to clean my body and which I had used for my face. It's absolutely silly. I don't know if it was a sustainability thing, but it was impractical and, frankly, made it so that I won't stay at this hotel ever again.

I was disappointed with the value for money offered by Ibis Bastille. Room - I paid €300 a night for two nights in twin bed room. The twin beds were tiny, more suitable for children than adults. The en-suite bathroom was minuscule, a tall person would struggle to stand in the shower. Hygiene - When I checked in on the Friday, the toilet seat was not clean, there was a sticky substance on it. I had to ask for the bathroom to be cleaned. In addition, I asked for the room to be cleaned every day when I checked in, but I came back on the Saturday night and it hadn’t been. On Sunday, 15 minutes before I was due to check out, someone from the cleaning team opened the door of my room without knocking first. Bag storage - I was shocked when I checked out and was directed to leave my bag in a “storage locker” until my flight later that day. I have travelled extensively and I have never had to pay to leave a bag in a hotel (or even a hostel) that I have stayed in. Even worse, the lockers only accepted €3 in coins - you couldn’t pay by card. A truly terrible system.

Perhaps you spent your bed budget on the flowers. The beds were thin mattresses on a box. They fell off the bed periodically through the night. There was no iron, which a hotel catering for business traveler's should have. There was no coffee machine. The lights were reminiscent of something from a college dorm. The "AC" was non-existent when on full blast. And I spent a week sweating. The hot water in the shower fluctuated constantly between hot and cold. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. It made my trip to Paris nearly unbareable.

Location and parking was good. The rooms are very tiny with not much table space. The washbasin wasn’t draining quickly in our room and the ironing room had a terribly torn ironing board, with an iron with worn out markings making it difficult to set the right temperature. The room had used towels thrown and didn’t look like anyone cared for a guest experience. Needs some better care.

The rooms and the bathrooms are quite small but do the job, and the location is fantastic - we were disappointed at the communal bathrooms and that we had to pay to leave our luggage for the day (usually this is complimentary at decent hotels)
