When we arrived she informed us that we could not get in our room till hopefully 7:00 pm, I stated that we had dinner plans and needed to change, she said we could go to 3rd floor and use lockers, they would have stuff up there to eat or drink, there was nothing but the gym and a bathroom, she said we could get breakfast in the morning and I asked if we could get wine and her response was restaurant is closed, I felt she could care a less about the problem and was not helpful at all

Very comfy stay. Check in was a little problematic but we ended up in a room we were very happy with... king bed with large TV, working phone and great view of the river! The manager on duty (Jonathan?) was very professional and helpful and resolved all our concerns.

Currently have a billing dispute, as I was charged an extra 50 dollars for not ordering breakfast at the FL2 after making a reservation. Did show up for what was billed as a New Year's Day brunch, but by the time we were seated (11 am), the menu offered lunch only. Informed the waiter we were not interested in ordering lunch, and she said that was OK. Apparently, however, was charged anyway. Also learned that there is NO difference between a standard and deluxe Mt. Washington view King Room, as I paid extra for an upgrade to Deluxe, but really just got a standard on a higher floor. I know these types of rooms well as I have stayed at the Fairmont many times over the past 15 years.

The Fairmont used to be an amazing hotel, there were two issues this day that I was not happy about. The first was the housekeeping, there is nothing worse than going into a shower and seeing multiple hairs from a previous person, so that was unacceptable and I didn’t use the shower because of it. The second thing was that the heat was off when I came into the room, so it was freezing cold and turned itself off again during the night, so the room was cold again in the morning. Something seemed to be wrong with the thermostat, which was frustrating, but I was only there for one night so I didn’t escalate.

My stay at the hotel was a good one. However, not an excellent one. Given that I drove to the location in Pittsburgh, I was expecting to have the option of either self-park or valet my vehicle. Upon my arrival, the access to self-park was denied due to work taking place in the garage area and access limited to only monthly parking patrons. Therefore, only the valet option was available. Having traveled some distance to the hotel, it would have been appreciated that the parking would be an issue or at least provide some alternate options. This was an inconvenience that was not appreciated.
