When I first stayed at this property in December, I would have rated the staff experience as "fine." Nothing, in particular, went wrong during my first stay, but I was surprised that the level of service did not mimic what I have experienced at other Fairmont properties. This past stay was excellent, from check-in, to check-out, at Juniper (simply amazing) and most of all, the concierge who saved my trip by getting me a taxi instead of me taking an uber to Union Station. When I needed to call the property after my stay for a copy of my folio, the person who assisted me could not have been more helpful, and the issue was solved before I ended the call. Truly, the staff was wonderful.

I was given a room by the elevator and it was dusty, stale smell, finished scuffed and worn out, and they fix the thermostat so I was cold. I chatted the system but never heard from them. The issues were not severe enough to complain further as I was very busy and didn't have time to deal with the minor inconveniences. Also frustrating is that when visiting on a conference rate, it doesn't allow points or status rewards. I do not understand this as I could easily choose multiple competitors in the area and take advantage of my status rewards, club access, and pay similar rates. Overall frustrated.
