Hotel and staff are great but the wifi is not so good. In fact, I was getting signal from the Hyatt across the street which at times was better than the wifi at the Fairmont.

The Fairmont Washington DC staff provided excellent service throughout the hotel. The front door bellmen provided outstanding service handling our luggage, the front desk staff were very efficient and welcoming when checking in and checking out, the concierge did an great job securing transportation and providing directions to different local sites and activities. Everyone was always ready to help with any questions or make recommendations to make our stay memorable. The interior of the hotel is beautifully decorated for the holiday season. The large Gingerbread House is beautifully decorated and list the large amount of ingredients the Pastry Chef used to make and decorate the house. The hotel Courtyard has a very large Christmas Tree surrounded by various fire pits with comfortable seating plus an outdoor bar mixing a variety of beverages. The variety of restaurants and bars are wonderful places for a cocktail and delicious food options. The servers have great recommendations for food and potentially a new cocktail that meets your taste. The hotel interior bar area is a great place to meet people and catch up on global news and sports with multiple TVs throughout the seating areas. The location of The Fairmont Washington DC makes for easy walking around Georgetown to see many of its historic sites as well as restaurants and activities locals frequent. We found several Pubs and Restaurants within easy walking distance from the hotel. Also, there are several different Metro Subway stations within easy walking distance that provide access to other areas of interest throughout Washington DC plus areas within Maryland and Northern Virginia. Taxis are also readily available at the entrance to the hotel. Finally, the guest rooms are well appointed with furniture, closets, and easily accessible power outlets. Recommend a room overlooking the Courtyard for the festive holiday decorations. However, if you like to watch City Life in a vibrant city, a room overlooking M Street or 24th Street would be highly recommended.

My wife and I were married at the Fairmont in April 2021 and had the most amazing experience ever! We regularly come back 1-2 times per year (birthday, anniversary) to celebrate my wife and our wedding night. We have always been blown away by the service, amenities, and aesthetics of the Fairmont. I used to work closely with Carrow Raspberry in previous years and she always went above and beyond to make our stay special. However, this was taken to new heights this year under the care of Shawanna Thompkins Scott. Shawanna is above and beyond THE BEST person I have ever worked with at the Fairmont. She took a few suggestions I had made to make my wife's birthday special and she absolutely annihilated it! She went so over the top that my wife was left speechless (which also made me look very good) and my wife even declared this to be the BEST BIRTHDAY she's ever celebrated. The roses, strawberries, champagne, rose petals, and gift basket were beyond my wildest imagination! She made this experience the best of our lives and reiterated that we will be continuing to come and stay at this world class facility for years to come. There are no words to describe how Shawanna's efforts made this weekend memorable for years (and maybe even decades) to come. Please, please, please help me recognize and reward Shawanna for her incredible contributions to this establishment! I am confident that she provided me with the same exceptional care she would for any of the guests entering the Fairmont. Outside of Shawanna you all have a world class staff of excellent folks who understand the hospitality business inside and out! I thank each and every one of the staff at the Fairmont and would again like to recognize Shawanna Thompkins Scott for her ability to go above and beyond not only for your organization but to make my wife and I's stay at your hotel truly unique and memorable!
