Our family came to DC to celebrate together with family and friends, a significant Birthday. Our first grandson turned 1 years old on July 4, 2026. So why not celebrate this event, and the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence! The Management all helped us to create a grand experience in having our Birthday celebration on the morning of July 4th. The Management in the Dining Room was top notch and so caring as well. We have excellent memories of our stay at Fairmont.

I rarely leave negative reviews because I'm generally a reasonable person and understand that issues can happen during any hotel stay. What matters most is how those issues are handled. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing because of the complete lack of concern and follow through from the staff. I stayed in Room 1058, and for two of the three days of my stay, the bathtub was not functioning properly. I reported the issue to the front desk multiple times, including speaking with the manager, Brin, on two separate occasions. Despite repeatedly bringing the problem to their attention, nothing meaningful was done to resolve it during my stay. To make matters worse, I also had no internet service for the entirety of my visit. Between the non-functioning tub and the lack of internet, I was unable to enjoy basic amenities that I paid for. I even requested to be moved to another room, but instead of receiving a straightforward answer or solution, I was given the runaround. Each conversation ended with promises that someone would address the situation, yet nothing changed. What disappointed me most wasn't just the maintenance issues, it was the way they were handled. I felt completely dismissed, as though my concerns were falling on deaf ears. There was very little sense of urgency, empathy, or genuine care from the staff, even after multiple complaints. I understand that unexpected problems arise in hotels, and I don't expect perfection. However, I do expect communication, accountability, and an effort to make things right. Unfortunately, none of that happened during my stay, and that's what left the lasting impression. I hope management takes guest concerns more seriously in the future because no guest should feel ignored after repeatedly asking for help.
