Stayed at the hotel in November 2025 and had an excellent experience overall. The hotel is well-located, less than 10 minutes from Union Station, so it's really useful for arriving in the city and getting around. Despite being really central, and on a street lined with bars, the hotel was really quiet inside and even with a front-facing room, we weren't disturbed by street noise at all (not something you can say often in Toronto!). The rooms for a city hotel are very large and well-maintained. The only drawback was a lack of storage space, which, when staying for a week with winter layers, was something of an issue for two of us! We had breakfast included in our rate, and for that it was a good deal- an excellent buffet, with a variety of hot and cold options, along with coffee, tea and juice. It's a little pricy if you're paying day by day, but if you can get a good room rate with it included, it's worth it. Hotel breakfast staff were outstanding- so friendly and attentive, and made us feel very welcome. All the staff we encountered were friendly and professional. The hotel was extremely clean and well-maintained in both the rooms and communal spaces. We didn't have time to take advantage, but there's a great happy hour deal daily, and there also were an array of holiday events taking place in the lobby and bar- we'd have loved to join in if time had allowed. We've been loyal to another Toronto hotel for a number of stays, but the Novotel is now likely to be a strong contender for future visits.

While initially pleased with our room (401), our night's sleep around 11 pm was disrupted by noise, music, stomping and jumping from the room directly above . When we raised this with the front desk, they chose to move us to another room on the same floor rather than deal with the noise makers. We had to get dressed, move our items and empty the fridge contents. This was disruptive, a great inconvenience to us and failed to confront the real problem as is standard hotel practice. In the end, it made our stay unpleasant.

Good location, clean rooms and friendly staff. Only complaint would be noise from the street during the night but I realize this is not fully under the hotels control. Would just ask to be in a room on a higher floor next time.

Dear Anita B., Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We hope to welcome you back to our hotel very soon! Sincerely, Novotel Toronto Centre

Paint peeling the bathroom from the ceiling and air vents wallpaper coming off in places. Not especially well looked after. Clean enough just a bit run down
