I had not stayed at this location in several years and was impressed by improvements to the communal areas and fitness centre. The main lobby area is always a party and I was never in it without a live piano player. The location cannot be beaten for travelling on ViaRail and using the TTC without ever needing to go outside. As this was a stay booked through hotwire, I was not surprised my room was not in the renovated section, but was perfectly serviceable except for a bathtub that would not drain during showers. The fitness centre was where I spent most of my awake time during my stay. Hotub, dry off and workout, sauna. I mainly used the showers provided in the fitness centre instead. Extra towels and bathrobes were provided there along with an area of four sinks and mirrors (with makeup mirrors) to complete getting ready. Lockers came with programable locks which I appreciate. After checkout I was given a daypass to continue using the facilities before my afternoon train. Staff were friendly. I had in-room dining twice at breakfast, it arrived promptly, fresh, and as ordered. The room also came with the largest minibar I have seen in a hotel for many years. The fridge has absolutely no space for guests to store their own things, but a good-sized extra fridge is provided at no cost if you require it for medications. Maid service was available throughout the day and I was happy with the cleanliness of the room. This is not the area of Toronto I usually stay in because there are more interesting areas to explore. But I was able to access anywhere I needed to go, including the high park area by taking the UP train.

Stayed here 3 days thanks to my company. Pros: rooms are small but nice, fitness center is veey clean and well equipped. Food for event is food. Location is highly convenient. Cons: sound proofing would be good to improve, I could hear all the conversations of my neighbors, could hear them cough and yawning. The fact that we can't use the fridge for personal purpose is outdated by 50 years.

the intent of a hotel is utlimately sleep - this was probably one of the worst sleep experiences of my life. Everything was heard. It is a LOUD hotel. The thermostat was iffy, the sheets were not comfortable. Then the shower was never really hot. It was just not the best room experience - looked nice but didn't perform well. View was great. Gym and swim and sauna and food was amazing but man, I struggled with the room a ton and because of that I will not be back. I need sleep.

Great service from all staff that we came in contact with. That is rare in my experience. Food in the restaurants was very good. The only downside was a couple of problems with tv remote not functioning properly. I had forgotten to inform the hotel of a feather allergy which caused some delays but that was totally my fault. We ended moving to a hypo allergenic room.

I had been travelling from Sri Lanka for 24 hours and was upside down with current time EST. Was very tired. Your check-in agent behind the checkin desk allowed me to get into my room early. I really appreciated that.
