Loved this hotel so much we stayed here twice. Our room was spotless comfortable and very quiet. Restaurant and bars were very good. The spa/pool/gym complex was one of the best we’ve experienced in a city centre hotel. However it is the staff that elevates the Fairmont from good to exceptional. Everyone we encountered were so polite, friendly and helpful but special mention to front desk who managed to fulfil our room request (during a very busy weekend) and to the lovely doorman who helped carry our bags across the road and into the train station. Truly fantastic service. Thank you!

Noisy, dated and poor service. Stayed for a week for business. I was 'Upgraded' to a superior room which was next to a suite. God knows what the walls are made of but I could hear very single word of conversations in the next room til 2am. I'd hate to see the room they were gonna give me beforehand. Hotel overall is dated and needs refurbishment. It's nice and pretty, especially as the Xmas vibes but overpriced for something this dated. Worst of all, they couldn't produce my invoice on checkout and promised to email it. Ok, fine... If they'd sent it. Chasing them for over a week to do the basics admin tasks; may as well be screaming into the void. Gonna have to be that PITA that phones and demands it's done while I'm on th phone. For £600+ per night should have to chase them for an invoice.... So poor.

Attention to detail goes a long way.

We’ve been to this hotel a few times now. I feel this time has been the best so far. Hotel is clean and well upgraded to say the least. From the lobby to the elevators, design details are everywhere. Not to mention the Christmas experience in full effect. We pulled up and were greeted by a friendly valet officer who was happy to get us unloaded and beginning our vacation. Check in was smooth and our room was ready for our requested early check in right on time. Once we got to our floor and found our room, we were greeted by Stella one of the room attendants who had a warm smile and struck up some chit chat. She asked us about our trip, and a bit about our family. She asked how old our youngest was, and when I said 6, she said hold tight, I’ll be right back. She came back in a minute with mini size hotel robe for our daughter… that little robe made her night and most likely a forever memory. Stella also offered us a few more waters in the room since we had 6 of us in 2 rooms. The small details make the biggest impact. Thank you to that woman who went out of her way to help make our trip comfortable and welcoming. Overall 10/10 for the attention to detail from start to finish Thank you. Josh K

Wonderful weekend getaway to Toronto and the Royal York. The hotel was decorated in lovely, festive Christmas displays and as always, was full of activity. Had the opportunity to enjoy visits to the Library and Clockwork Lounge as well as the pool.
