I was a little nervous about getting a room at check-in - as I realised once I got there and found myself in a 10-15 person line that check-in was at 4pm. Despite that, flow was quick and I was given a room and a warm welcome. Christmas decoration and spirit was really nice. I had lunch and breakfast in the same restaurant and wait service both times was perfect and food good and substantial. I liked the choice of bars and also the location. I was able to go and get my rental car without stepping outside (courtesy of the PATH) and get everywhere I wanted to be really efficiently. The hotel gym and spa were also well above average. I got a decent workout and a nice sauna. All in all, I thought value for money and staff courtesy and attitude were exceptional. I’ll be back.

I have been going to the Royal York for many years as a treat for myself. I consider it a mini-vacation as I always feel appreciated and valued as a guest. All the staff are helpful, considerate and pleasant. The cuisine and selection of food is impeccable.

The hotel was beautifully decorated for the holidays. The music was very loud in the lobby, and the fragrance in common areas was overpowering. Unfortunately we had to cancel our high tea because of this.

Overall great to experience, house keeping did a fantastic job and deserve to be commended. Front desk staff was friendly and all staff helpful. My daughter loved the decorations and the holiday package. Will consider staying at this location again in the future.

I have been a loyal guest of the Royal York for over 40 years. I have been a Diamond, Platinum or Gold member for more than 20 years. Unfortunately this year I was relegated to Silver which has impacted my hotel selections this year. I had booked a Superior King room for this stay. We were allocated an accessible room which was unacceptable which I expect was a result of my membership status. The front desk was unable to find us an acceptable room (offered a smaller two twins room at a lower rate). We were offered breakfast for our troubles but I continue to reevaluate ACCOR for future reservations (we have a reservation next spring in the UK which I may cancel) as our experience was disappointing.
