Overall comfortable experience. However, I ran my shower for 20 minutes (terrible waste of water !) and still water was only room temperature.

I quite enjoy staying at Fairmont hotels. However, I don't much care for the ALL Accor nonsense. When you were acquired by Accor, that was a huge negative for me and why I switched to another brand for most of my stays. It's too bad that Fairmont couldn't have remained a separate brand.

I've now stayed at the Royal York on 2 occasions in the last two months and both times the service has been impeccable, and the room immaculate. An easy choice as a traveller now mostly using the train, the choice has been made that much easier by the attention to detail when it comes to service and room cleanliness. I love the Fairmont Gold experience and will be a return customer for sure.

I stayed at RY Fairmont on Dec 28 - 31 for medical matters. The self-parking direction was non-existent once inside. I parked near the elevators at handicap, but when I attempted to go up and out, I found myself locked into an upper foyer looking onto Bay St. I had to walk down escalators not working into the pathway back to RY but it too was locked and finally back up another escalator before finding an unlocked door. It turned out I had gone to the North Tower, instead of South Tower, however, not one sign to show where to park for hotel nor how to get to RY once on foot. Very poor... last days I paid for valet instead. The two rooms were lovely (mine with sitting area... 2nd room Fairmont standard) but the heat didn't work in our room not going passed 64 degrees for first night even when set at 76. It wass fixed 2nd day. For three days, the internet continuously dropped causing me to require help-desk on 7 - 8 occasions... frustrating to get work done. My son's room was no problem. In spite of this, I still thoroughly enjoy staying at the Fairmont RY because everyone treats us tremendously, such as Joy and Warren at front desk, Paul & others at valet/front, etc. Even the kitchen staff delivering meals to our room was so kind and helpful. This is why I prefer the Royal York, in spite of hick-ups, especially in these trying times!

Had a beautiful, bright large signature 500 sq ft corner room. Our check in was flawless, very professional. Made great use of the pool. Clockwork bar had amazing cocktails and service. We were there for 2 nights, great location. Would stay again.

Overall, very enjoyable, however when we arrived at 4 pm our room was not ready. We were told we would receive a $50 credit to enjoy a drink in the Clockwork bar while we waited. This charge was then put on my credit card. Very disappointing.

The hotel is well located, but very pricey for the size of the room. Although we did not get to experience any of the amenities the hotel offered, they looked inviting. The check-in process was second to none with very friendly staff and quick service. We would stay here again if a discount for the room was offered.

We had exceptional service from before check in to check out. I called ahead of time about our reservation. My questions were answered in a professional, courteous way. The changes I needed to make were done so with a helpful and understanding mood. On check in day we received a a follow email that everything was as we had requested and our room was ready. During the check in I was again advised that my requests had been completed, asked if I had any other questions or changes required - all with a smile and pleasant demeanour. The check in and lounge area for the Fairmont Gold area was inviting, very clean and offered a tranquil area to relax away from the hustle and bustle of Toronto. Every time we walked into the lounge or got an elevator to head back to our room the representatives greeted us by name. I’ve stayed with the competition and I have yet to find service like I’ve encountered with the Fairmont brand. The service we received made me feel like we found a company that knew how to choose the best people; the ones who care about offering excellent service, and treating people as people and not just the next sale in line. Who knew people remembered how to smile these days! Kudos to the Fairmont Gold team for making our stay so welcoming.

I was pleasantly surprised that the cost of my last day of stay was waived because I checked out at 5.30 pm to catch a flight. I was prepared to pay for the night since I didn’t want to check out at 10am and have no place to rest till the flight. It was really flexible of Fairmont to allow the waiver of the day fare. The Fairmont is a beautiful hotel in a great location. The Bed and Breakfast package was great. My room had some issues as it was right next to a suite. The first night you could hear a dog barking in a neighboring room. The suite guests were so loud on both my first and second night that they couldn't hear room service. The family on the third night was fine. But, it seems strange that you can hear that much noise.
