The room was ready upon arrival and check in was quick. The front desk are knowledgeable and help you through any concerns. I mainly went for the salt pool and the entire area was very clean and relaxing. We ate at the hotel restaurant and found that the service was top tier. The food quality was high and delicious.

Annoying clicking all night by the door, could not go to sleep

Nice, clean hotel very quiet. Great restaurant with delicious food downstairs. Only wish I had known that I was suppose to get a complimentary drink. The person that checked me in never told me. This was a business trip and I am not from tge country so I was not aware until speaking with a coworker after I already checked out. But still a nice place to stay

The room was compact and nice. The kettle socket was awkwardly placed. I had to squeeze my hand to plug the kettle.

We chose this hotel because we were at Canadas wonderland for 2 days. It was closely Located and just what we needed. We got breakfast in the morning (brunch) it was good overall just a bit pricy overall. But appreciated non the less.

The room had a very musty smell when we entered and I thought it would clear up with the A?C on. It did not and I reported it. Housekeeping came in and sprayed disinfectant while I was in the room which didn't help. I asked for a new room but was informed there weren't any available. However, when I looked online there were four rooms available to book. Very disappointed with the experience.

A musty smell is certainly not the experience we want a guest to have upon entering their room, and we understand how disappointing it was when the issue did not improve with the air conditioning. We are also sorry that having disinfectant sprayed while you were in the room did not resolve the problem. When you requested a room change, we understand your frustration at being advised that no rooms were available, particularly when you subsequently saw rooms available for booking online. We regret that our team did not provide you with a satisfactory explanation or solution at the time. Your feedback has been shared with our Housekeeping and Front Office management teams so that we can review both the room condition and how your request was handled. We take your comments seriously and apologize that we did not do more to make your stay comfortable. Booked two rooms 7 months in advance so we could attend a concert. Rooms were paid in full at the time of the booking. Called two weeks before to request 1. Early arrival of 2pm. 2. Because of a severe allergy in the group requested that one of the rooms be cleaned with unscented products. Was denied early access "this can not be accommodated because our cleaning staff doesn't start cleaning rooms until after 11am. Call the day of and maybe it will happen." As for the cleaning products "I will make a note for cleaning staff" however no guarantee was made. Person on the phone did ask if we wanted joining rooms to which I said yes please. Upon arrival at 3pm (we waited to ensure our room would be ready as reservations were guaranteed for 3pm.) Our rooms were not ready and we were asked to wait 20-30 minutes longer for the adjoining rooms. I said we paid for these rooms 7 months ago and then said I don't care if the rooms are adjoining, but one room has to be scent free as explained 2 weeks prior (which the desk clerk had no record of). We were then told our wait shouldn't be too long. We received our rooms within 15-20 minutes (which was closer to 3:45pm), had to authorize $150 security deposits for each room (1 room had two 75 year olds and one room had a 52 year old couple ... no kids, no dogs, not part of a hockey team, wedding or any other large group) and both rooms had been fully paid for 7 months prior. Rooms were not adjoined and both rooms had been cleaned with scented products. So we arrived at 3pm did not get in our room until roughly 3:45 and departed at 9:30 the following day (Roughly 18 hours). Our rooms were clean and functioned, but were nothing special (if you have seen 1 clean hotel room you have seen them all). Cleaning staff were still cleaning rooms on the floor we were on when we reached our rooms at 3:45pm. I would assume for known late arrivals. This was all of my parties first ever stay at a Novotel. We will not be recommending or staying at one in the future. No apologies, no offers for compensation due to hotel error and no attempt to understand customer frustration was made at check in or during the stay.

After booking two rooms seven months in advance and contacting us two weeks before arrival with a specific allergy-related request, we understand your frustration with how your arrival was handled. Regarding the 2:00 p.m. early check-in request, we would like to clarify that early check-in is not guaranteed and is always subject to availability on the day of arrival. We apologize if this was not communicated clearly. Our standard check-in time is 3:00 p.m., and we understand that you planned your arrival around that time. We are particularly sorry that the request for one room to be cleaned with unscented products was not properly recorded or communicated to our Housekeeping team. For an allergy-related concern, this should have been handled with greater care. We also apologize that your rooms were not ready at 3:00 p.m. and that you were asked to wait while we attempted to arrange adjoining rooms, despite you being willing to accept separate rooms. Regarding the $150 security deposit per room, we would also like to clarify that this is a standard procedure applied to all guests and is not based on the guest's age, whether they are travelling with children or pets, or whether they are part of a group or have prepaid their accommodation. The deposit is a standard authorization taken at check-in and is separate from the room payment. We understand your frustration with the overall arrival experience, particularly the delay, the rooms not being adjoining, and the unscented-room request not being fulfilled. Most importantly, we apologize that our Front Office team did not acknowledge your frustration or make a greater effort to assist you at the time. Your feedback regarding the handling of special requests, communication between Front Office and Housekeeping, and room readiness has been shared with management for review. We are disappointed that your first experience with Novotel left you feeling that you would not recommend or stay with us again.
