We had an awesome stay at the Fairmont Pittsburgh. The staff was friendly and the room was spacious. We had a view of the stadium and the Pirates were playing! Overall, our stay was awesome!

Room was adequate. Somewhat irritated at extra charges incurred for even minor amenities (e.g., low bandwidth wi-fi).

Good stay with small flaws

This was an evening getaway to relax for mother’s day. The room was reasonably clean but did not include toiletries (shampoo, conditioner) except soap. TV was not intuitive. Only limited cable could be easily accessed. Internet was not clear. Gym was fantastic as well as the spa. Restaurant was so, so. The martini was not prepared as asked and served in a plastic cup. The appetizer ordered was overcooked and made me queasy. Would not visit the restaurant again, especially for the price. The view from the room was outstanding. The parking garage was a little scary and not easy to access. (Missed finding valet parking.) Expected more for the cost of the stay. Worth visiting for the Spa.

All in all, our stay was fine, no major complaints. However, for a 5-star hotel and price of the room, my expectations were a bit higher. Comforter was stained, no shampoo/conditioner in room (despite being asked and never delivered), spa did not provide robe/slippers. Minor issues really. I think I just expected a bit more given the hotel reputation. I will say that the staff we encountered were super nice. A special shout out to Brian who was so friendly and helpful and to Veronique in the spa who was so positive and sweet.

This was a quick in a and out business experience. I've had the pleasure of staying at this property many times and it is an absolutely perfect location. Walk to Market Square, walk to PNC or PPG Paints Arena. Walking distance to Point Park or Milkshake factory. The location is ideal. The fitness center is top notch for hotels of this class and the rooms are spacious with great views out either side of the building. I miss the downstairs bar and its vibe. I miss when the relocated bar is closed as it was on both of my visits there. Hopefully that will return to normal soon,

I stayed in a Suite recently. The facilities were fantastic. The room was large, clean and well appointed. The gym was extremely clean and the staff was excellent. Highly recommend this Hotel to anyone visiting Pittsburgh or anyone looking for a quiet retreat in the City.

Disappointing for the "best hotel" in Pittsburgh

If you claim to be the best hotel in Pittsburgh the bar is high. I stayed at a suite and even the basics weren't met after I told the staff: The lighting in suite 1919 wasn't working, the toilet wasn't cleaned and still dirty when I moved in, the carpet wasn't cleaned and showed paper pieces, the note-pad showed scribbles from the previous owner and there wasn't a bath-mat in the second bathroom. The basics. I arrived late on a flight from California and asked in advance about food options. The receptionist explained that on Monday's and Tuesday's the bar or restaurant is closed because it is generally a slow day. However, the receptionists also explained that the hotel is booked out because of the conference I was attending in May'22. I asked the receptionists to help me with some food choices when I arrive around midnight. I did hedge my request by ordering Door Dash in parallel while I was traveling in from the airport. I arrive a the hotel and told the staff that my Door Dash order is on it's way. It's way after midnight now and I'm in my room. I then remember my dinner-order and wonder if it made it to the hotel. I call the reception and yes, the food already arrived 30 minutes ago and is cooling down on the check-in table in the middle of the night on its own. The reception tells me that I can pick it up. Great! I get back into my clothes and make the trip to the reception. 4 young staff are all chattin' away, there is nothing to do and the only thing that's going on is my food now approaching room temperature. That's what I am expecting at a Motel 6 but not at the Fairmont in Pittsburgh. 4 young and clever folks couldn't make the connection that a) I told them at check-in that I am expecting food, b) inform me that my food has arrived and c) bother to deliver my food up to the suite. Why not? I changed hotels to the Oaklander by Marriott which made me feel home and takes care of me top notch. Yes, it's not right downtown but if there's no service then what does it matter.

I had 3 rooms reserved for graduation weekend, after a 5 hr drive they were not ready. We arrived after check in at 3pm and waited another hour for one room to be ready. Then another few hours for the others. The bar / restaurant was not open either. That open at 4pm? The rooms are not cleaned unless you c add ll for them.. the restaurant was not open for breakfast on Monday morning.. clearly they have major staffing issues.

While our stay was nice and your agent rates are great, I was a bit disappointed that we could not get a room with 2 beds. I was told the hotel was booked and none were available. Knowing that the baseball team had checked out that morning and the few people we saw in the lobby, my guess is that was not true. It was fine with a rollaway but still disappointing. Hopefully things will continue to improve, and the restaurant/bar will reopen more than just a few days/week.

Had a great visit. Room was fantastic. Wonderful support at the front desk / concierge (dinner recommendations were great). I think the gym / spa is contracted out... really liked the facilities except the lockers themselves needed cleaning and new batteries for the locks (very minor critique). Timing of our stay precluded us from experiencing the f2 restaurant or the lobby bar, but the in-room dining experience was super great.

Upon checking in we were immediately greeted at the car and front that point on were treated like royalty. The only issue I have is that we paid for some type of packages and I don’t think we got anything extra. That might be our fault, because we really didn’t know what the package included, but we did not get it do anything extras aside from the room. Other than that, it was such an amazing time and we will be back for sure.

The only downside was no breakfast....no option other than room service or walking down to Starbucks. Given that I had a 8 AM meeting in the hotel, this was inconvenient.

Valet was helpful to retrieve my charger and Yeti from my rental when my dinner plans included walking instead of driving. Front desk pleasant and welcoming. Clean comfortable room & bed! Georgene was a treat in the salon. Nice visit!
