This expereience fell short for several reasons. Our guest service at the front desk was top notch for check-in and check-out. Two places that needed improvement. First, was the restaurant service and menue options. The server at the bar was annoyed that we decided to sit 3 poeple at the sitted area next to the bar to watch March maddness. The food options were limited and we weren't allowed to order from the dinner menu in the bar area. Second, we ended up having to share towels the second night because the cleaning people took all 4 large towels and only left us with 2 large towels. Moveover, there was a coffee maker in the room but no coffee pods or evidience that you could even make coffee in the room and only a couple waters in the mini-bar. Again, check-in and check-out and overall the location and first impressions of the hotel were good but being met by rude service when using our restaurant credit was disapointing and discovering there weren't enough towels on the second night left us underwhelmed.

really nice service. my room wasnt ready when I arrived, after the check in time. But they were relatively quick and I just had a drink at the bar while I waited.

Prior to our stay, we chose the potential Upgrade option. Upon arrival, we were notified our Upgrade was successful. However, the upgrade was from a King to a double Queen. That is NOT an upgrade. The front desk then told us they no longer had a King to offer us. It more or less ruined our 3 night stay, as we were looking forward to a nice stay in a King room, not sleeping in separate beds. Terrible.

It was a welcomed and refreshing stay. We have stayed at your hotel in the past but had a uncomfortable experience when a drunk person was sleeping outside of our suite on the floor. We've been spending our time bi-monthly at the OMNI William Penn over the past year or so. It has, in my opinion gone without attention to details. I, as well as Rebecca thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Fairmont. A few minor suggestions, if I may. I understand that the room was recently remodeled and refreshed. It could use some paintings/pictures on the walls. We had a bedroom television issue, but that was remedied quickly. The reconstruction noise from the 16th floor all through the night and into Easter morning was not welcome, but I can understand getting things ready, especially with the NFL Draft approaching. The bedroom bathroom toilet handle did not function, but I just lifted the basin cover and engaged the flapper manually to drain the toilet. You may want to entertain installing dimmer switches for the bedroom nightstand lamps. People don't always want bright lights. They may want ambiance. The "In Room" dining experience was such a welcome addition. You staff should be commended. We shall be staying at the Fairmont for all of our future incursions into Pittsburgh.
