What are the three regions of the Oceania?

There are three sub-regions of Oceania: Micronesia, Melanesia, and Polynesia. These do not cover Australia, although Australia is usually outlined as neighbouring and included in the Oceania region. Australia Pacific is a region that inclues the countries of Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji. Melanesia covers Papua New Guinea and Fiji, while Polynesia covers French Polynesia and further islands. Both Fiji and Tahiti make for dream holiday destinations. Tahiti can be more expensive, particularly when it comes to accommodation. Tahiti offers more overwater bungalows, which are luxurious and particularly popular but can cost more. Within Australia Pacific are a vast amount of cities. Where you visit will depend on your preferences and time. If you're visiting Australia, it's a good idea to see some of the capital cities. Sydney and Melbourne are the best known, though great coastal cities are also, including the Gold Coast. Likewise, in New Zealand, a mix of capital cities like Auckland and Wellington and towns like Queenstown and Rotorua will make for a rewarding experience. If visiting Fiji, Denarau Island, and Suva are popular destinations, while in French Polynesia, Tahiti and Bora Bora are some of the better-known islands.

You can swim in the Pacific Ocean, and there are many idyllic swimming spots in Australia Pacific. The Pacific Ocean is the largest and deepest ocean on Earth, with the most extensive array of marine life. Known for being intensely blue, beaches bordering the Pacific Ocean are great places to swim, paddle, surf, and snorkel.
