Could not see the improvement from the IBIS Budget Braga Centro, hence disappointed.

If church bells and thin walls don’t bother you that much, then this is probably the best (affordable) place to stay in Braga. Prime location, helpful staff, and a gorgeous city to explore… Loved it!

We arrived in Braga to stay at a friend's house outside of the city. On the way there, my partner sustained a broken leg, requiring me and our 22 year old cat to locate ourselves closer to the hospital. When seeking a hotel stay, we normally avoid places with carpeting or deodorizing chemicals. Clean, to us, is defined as no smell, not "fresh scent". If there was one thing wrong with the hotel, it was the terribly strong-smelling soap used in the shower and bathroom, even riding in the elevator with others who used the soap was unpleasant. It was easy to avoid that however - I just bought unscented soap easy to find in town, and avoided using the elevator with others. The hotel was indeed well-located. Braga is a wonderful walking town and it was very easy for me to get around walking to restaurants or shops. It was 10 minutes from the hospital by car. The entire staff, including most of the room cleaners I met were pleasant and well-versed in their jobs. Every single person helped me to function efficiently, whether it was for directions, restaurant suggestions, an extra pillow, or moving my room after a few days to mitigate the construction sounds from outside. Nearly everything was perfect. Breakfast was wonderful, and there was enough choice to satisfy me for my unexpectedly long stay. I made a point to partake of it every day, except one. Your choice below asking what sort of trip this was, did not reflect my situation. It was not for business, pleasure or anything other than needing a good place to stay during an emergency situation. I did not plan to be at an Ibis, nor did I choose it deliberately due to advertising. The booking was made for me by a friend.

Everything was ok, room insulation could be better from outside and rooms around. Besides that, fine.

The hotel is a great location and clean. The rooms are basic but it has everything you need, especially when you are barely in the room as you are exploring Braga.
