This hotel is situated smack in downtown Porto. From here you can do every thing from you bucketlist. no local transport needed. A little tip, if you having difficulty walking and stay here. Than go to the Metro stop Bolhão in stead of São Bento. From Bolhão its "mostly flat" if you walk with luggage.

The property is extremely well located in the middle of the old city and within walking distance to most of the sights. There are also many restaurants nearby. Hotel is modern and clean. Staff was friendly.

We drove to the hotel and there was no way to park the car briefly to unload suitcases. We had to block a road and sidewalk for 5-10 minutes to accomplish this. The hotel had no doorman nor bellhop to assist us nor instructions as to what to do. We were also not warned by the hotel that it's garage was unavailable. This meant that we had to find somewhere in the city to park our car. We were not the only guests who had this problem as we witnessed our guest struggling on unloading and getting into the hotel. Aside from the check-in issue (which was huge), the room and meals were excellent. We personally would not stay there again based on the problems we had.
