A well located hotel (Metro across the street) well maintained with friendly staff. Very nice room overlooking the avenue. Was able to check in and occupy the room early. The major drawback was the absence of accessible electrical outlets. Only one found required getting down on knees to access. And the location of the bedside light switch was such that every time one stretched or reached over to the side table, arm brushed the switch turning lights on or off.

I had a great stay at Sofitel Lisboa. The hotel is super conveniently located in the city, making it easy to get around. It offers the luxury you’d expect from Sofitel—the ambiance is lovely, everything was clean, and the amenities were a nice extra touch that made the stay feel special. The staff were generally very nice and pleasant, especially the front desk team. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the name of the staff member who assisted us, but he was very professional and welcoming. However, I was disappointed with the experience at the bar. We went there to enjoy a drink and claim our complimentary drinks, but the bartender was confusing and unhelpful. He initially said we could have anything, then limited it to wine, beer, and non-alcoholic drinks. He was not friendly and told us we could only have two drinks total despite the fact that we had reservations for two rooms for three guests. I assumed the complimentary drinks were per person. When we asked him to check, he didn’t bother to do so and simply shrugged it off, which felt rude and dismissive. I had to go back to the front desk to clarify instead and that was annoying and a bit embarrassing. That part of the experience was disappointing and took away from an otherwise enjoyable stay. Overall, it is still a very good hotel, and I would recommend it for its location, comfort, and service but I would definitely avoid the bar.
