The hotel renovations we very disruptive. The room AC i let reception know it said ‘no connection’ on the screen and would not turn off (noisey). The bed squeaks when you sit on it. Shower is average to low pressure. 25yrs staying in accor hotels the was one if the most disappointing.

The air conditioning wasn’t working, the phone in the room wasn’t working, and even the fridge wasn’t working. I had to check five different rooms myself to see if any of the air conditioners were functioning, since the staff had no idea. None of the rooms we saw had a properly working AC, so we ended up choosing the one that was simply the least hot. Because the phone didn’t work, we had to go up and down to the front desk every time something went wrong. The staff also failed to inform us at check‑in that the hotel was experiencing ongoing issues supposedly caused by a storm that happened days earlier. While the staff was polite, they were clearly undertrained and unaware of what was happening in the hotel. As compensation, they only offered free breakfast on our last day—this was after I requested a discount on the rate, which they declined

Although we are big fans of Novotel hotels, I have to say that this was a disappointing experience: The pool and the fitness facility was closed, but we were not informed in advance. Although the rooms were prepaid, when we got to the hotel I was asked again to sign for the payment. The window could not be open and the ventilation did not work properly, reason for which there was a peculiar odour in the room. The shower head was broken.

The hotel is under renovation. Nobody informed me about this situation. The lobby area is non existent. Telephone lines do not work. The heating system did not work either. Electricity went off one night and did not return until midmorning.
