We booked here largely for the pool and gym, but turns out the pool is closed for the season which wasn’t mentioned in the reservation and none of the machines were working in the small gym. The construction was also not mentioned and we would never have booked here if we knew, we woke up every morning to construction noise, like jackhammering.. the one good thing I have to say is everyone who works here is very nice and helpful, but that’s about it.. the surrounding area isn’t very nice to walk around but it’s not too far a walk to the station to get around the city. It’s unfortunate but I would never stay here again and wouldn’t recommend it.

The staff was not very helpful and both desks were often unattended. The directions to the restaurant were no where to be found and neither was staff to direct you.

The check-in process took longer than expected; however, I was provided with an upgraded room, which was appreciated. No welcome drink offered and no cakes or fruits provided in room. I was supposed to have a late checkout and informed the check-in staff accordingly, yet housekeeping entered my room three separate times without knocking. The staff did not appear to communicate with one another regarding my late checkout, and housekeeping was not notified at all. Overall, the customer service was disappointing. Additionally, the swimming pool was closed during my stay. I will not be staying at this property again. I have stayed at Accor hotels around the world, and unfortunately, this Novotel has been the worst experience I have encountered.

I stayed at the hotel for a 3-day conference. During this time, renovation work was taking place. The water pressure in the shower was extremely low, and on one of the days there was no hot water at all. The renovation work to fix the plumbing continued until 1 a.m., with loud banging and sawing noises. My room was also very cold — the temperature display showed 16°C — and the blanket was very thin. There was no extra blanket in the room. I tried to contact room service for an additional blanket, but no one answered.
