We were very lucky to book the hotel room within less than 24 hours before our flight took off. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room is decent size and is clean. However, the ventilation system could be improved.

Rooms were small as were the beds but comfortable and staff were very helpful and friendly. It has a very casual but nice & safe feel to it. Lobby area with a bar offering a few dining and snack options. Breakfast was open til 12 noon which made it very practical, options were plentiful for the price, including standard continental and a couple of hot options as well as various kinds of bread and local specialties . It was possible to cast from private mobile devices to TV in rooms which was convenient. No in-room tea/coffee making facilities but bar downstairs was open at all hours. Room key card needed reactivation a few times during our stay. Area was lovely and open, unlike downtown which although beautiful, it could be too busy & not always safe. El Cortes Inglés, the massive department store as well as many other shops and dining options are within 10-15 mins walk. From there we had a lovely walk through the Parque of Edward the VII at the top of which there is a beautiful view point of the city all the way to the river. The park leads to the Avenida Liberdade, an upscale avenue with a couple of very nice plaças and photo spots.
