Booked the Mama Shelter for a 5-night stay during our city trip to Lissabon. Staff was friendly and helpful. Access to the floors with hotel rooms is secured with a roomkey scanner in the elevator. Breakfast was extensive and of decent quality. Unfortunately not all information was immediately supplied during check-in (I had to ask about breakfast hours, and the elevator security was not explained at first). During one of our nights the fire alarm was set off at 3:30 am and we had to spend half an our standing outside in our night gown. The hotel did not offer any compensation for this, not even extended breakfast hours. I also missed a leaflet with the most basic information about the hotel in the room (important phone numbers, check-in/check-out times, breakfast hours, opening hours of the restaurant).

The stay overall was OK, not amazing, not bad - kind of what you expect for the price and a 3-star hotel. I will say I've had better amenities in some Ibis hotels though (the lack of a kettle or any in-room amenities was advertised for the smaller rooms, however it is worth noting for future guests). I didn't receive any acknowledgement of Accor Platinum status and there was no welcome drink provided (again, not a huge deal but just not on par with the experience at other Accor properties). If you need somewhere to work there is a bar/restaurant downstairs, however it can get busy, and you'll be told to sit either at the bar or on the window tables (if there is any space) to save room for people to dine at the restaurant. On the positive side, check in staff were friendly, bed was super comfortable and there is a lively bar down stairs.

The hotel, location, rooms etc are great. Honestly the best I've had in Lisbon, even if it's not very business-friendly (limited working space). However, the systems and admin are very poor (I do not blame the staff). Everything was wrong and it seemed the staff did not know the correct procedures for their systems.
