ibis Setubal Hotel 2 stars

When my wife asked me wat was the hotel like upon my return. I had only one word to describe it. It was like a prison. The state of the room

5*. Correspondeu as expectativas

The hotel itself is newly decorated in the hallways. The bathroom was very nice and modern. The rooms themselves could do with a bit of modernization. The bed was really really comfortable. Hotel was quiet. It's located outside of setubal so you need a car to get around.

I was woken between 6.30 and 7.30 each morning by a rooster big chicken. Even in the afternoon I heard the rooster. I stayed for 5 nights and wanted a restful quiet stay. I was offered to change the room but didn't want the upheaval. When I checked in i asked the receptionist twice for a quiet room. His response was 'come see me if you have problems'. Should have guessed there was a problem and moved hotels

Staff was nice, but they could be more trainned. For instance, serving breakfast they could control customers in a better way. Example: clean breakfast desk after each customer been there; not giving cinamon to customer to use it; having tables cleared marked as "clean&ready to use"; avoiding to move an huge cortain from old breakfast room while customers are just nearby having breakfast; door to the outside should be unlock so people did not have to hand-touch it to open it; tables outside were frequently with leftovers from other clients; On hotel side, ash-trays should be totally removed during pandemic situation and smoking outside also to allow customers to have the option to have breakfast outside in a smoke free enviroment. We opted to always have "not disturb" sign at our room, so only us were in/out of that space. House keeping was keen to give us towels when we asked. This should be proposed to customers as an option. Hotel needs to be refurbished but it is an ok hotel for a business trip. I have booked via phone, but there was an email requesting an online checking with a deadline. That is a totally murder of simplicity.

Agradavel e sem incidentes

Although it is quite far from the city centre, it is easy to access by car. Just a mention of how nice was the woman delivering the Breakfast! Thank you so much. The breakfast was superb, everything fresh and yummy I really enjoyed it. I would have liked to eat some fruit, maybe there were but I didnt see and therefore neither asked for it. Bedroom clean, thank you for the new pair of towels, AIR conditioner great. All in all REALLY GOOD experience.

A very nice weekend in quiet but very nice hotel.

Still with single use plastic. Reception staff very useful and friendly. Room window very dirty, in need of a very hard cleaning. But the room was clean and very quiet and nice and sunny. Overall the hotel was better than i expected.

Very pleased with Setubel ISIS. The price for having a dog in Portugal is however far too expensive and is the most expensive we have found in Europe. We have stayed with IBIS hundreds of times because we travel with our well behaved dog and in France and Spain the cost is less than half. The management at Setubal recognize this and discounted the cost of stay to reflect the high cost of having a dog. Full marks to them. and we will look forward to staying there again.

The room was dirty, specially the bathroom with hair and it was a terrible stink of kitchen all over the room. Something was wrong with the ventilation and we had to change the room for the terrible odor.

The stay in the hotel was enjoyable. If you are motorized it gives you quite a good point for your exploration of Alentejo and Lisbon. The hotel is located in a low building leaving you an impression of intimacy. There is a courtyard with a nice and clean swimming pool. Orange trees are a source of fruits for breakfast. Breakfast buffet offers you quite a large selection of bread, some cheese, ham, fruits, pancakes, eggs. I can only complain that there were not any vegetables if you didn't count not nicely presented tomatoes (in a plastic bowl). During my prolonged stay I found breakfast a little bit boring as nothing really changed in the buffet and the same selection of food was served every day to give you a missing sense of variety and something to long for to come back

Check in was speedy and staff was friendly. Our room was small but efficiently designed, which is what we can depend on with Ibis. The room was absolutely quiet. There was an excellent breakfast with good variety of choices.

The hotel although a little far from the beach, offered us a great service, the staff, especially the night porter was great very friendly and had no problems to serve me a coffee at 4 in the morning. The breakfast was more than enough and of the best quality

Friendly helpful staff and hotel is being renovated so I wouldn't hesitate to use again, although they do need to dispose of coffee machine around the breakfast bar, coffee was awful. Hotel was easy to find on the way into Setabul.
