The TV didn’t work, the bed seemed rather an instrument of torture. Breakfast is good.

There were a couple of things that didn't make my experience a great experience at the Setubal Novotel. After the first night, I woke up in the morning to find ants all over my toiletries on the sink and also in the bath tub. I didn't even have any food in the room. I spoke to the front desk and they moved me to another room, where I spent my second night and didn't see any ants. It was still a hassle. Secondly, it was a very warm February in Portugal and the fact that the room didn't have air conditioning really messed up my Friday, as I had to attend several phone meetings in my room in the afternoon and it was so hot in the room that I was having a hard time getting comfortable. I spoke to the front desk and asked for a fan, which they did not have and I was also told that they can only have the heat or cold air, and right now all I could get was heat. It also made it uncomfortable to sleep at night. The breakfast was very nice, though. I would have stayed 4 more nights had it not been for the above and ended up moving to another hotel that had air conditioning. The staff was very nice and attentive, though. I have only good things to say about the staff in Setubal.

We didn't have hot water in the room. I asked reception to reimburse us the room or offer an additional night but no feedback was received. This situation in unacceptable for a 4 star hotel.

Staff very friendly and professional, in the reception desk and bar. But very noisy hotel room with no soundproofing at all. TV in the room completely outdated. Lack of shampoo amenity even upon my request.

If You want some quiet hotel room where you can rest noiseless, forget this hotel. Otherwise you can find yourself (almost) sharing your hotel room with yours noisy neighbours. On the other hand, the staff can't be more friendly and useful. Really nice and professional people. Breakfast is OK.

Overall, our experience was fine. The hotel is less well-equipped than I had hoped having somewhat spartan rooms, but the food is reasonable and the staff are friendly and helpful in general.

The check in took a bit of time staff was coming from the bar and was not really trained we nned to wait a couple of mins and other clients who came after us get the card key more quickly.Breakfast is good and fresh with many choices
